@daisy-torres also, the epic song that helps keep me going is In The Unknown by Volunteers, One Heart by Celine Dion and Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons. I literally listened to those three songs on repeat for an hour while I did editing. XD it did wonders to my worry about my writing

@daisy-torres yeah lol, there’s one family who all wants to read it, and that’s 9 people right there lol. I learn from my friend (one of their 7 daughters) last night that they keep asking her when they can read it lol. Apparently, they’ve been asking ever since they learned I was writing XD that was a birthday present in itself. (my bday is…[Read more]

Hi @daisy-torres,
I just have an illustrated children’s book, Leo Goes to France. wwwleogoestofrance.com
It’s a story inspired by my cat Leo who loves everything to do with sugar and carbs…Everything but his cat food. Leo runs away to France in search of pastries, pies, and donuts.

@devastate-lasting haha, I see. Well, I haven’t read many classics, but I enjoy the ones I have been reading.
@Calidris no, haven’t heard of it. My curriculum was Mennonite (CLE) I was homeschooled, and the stories bored me to tears at times, literally. Why do I need to read a story about Johnny jumping over cracks in the sidewalk for a nickel…[Read more]

@keilah-h That is a wonderful thing you’re doing, good job and keep it up!
I have preeetty severe ADHD and ADD, which I know isn’t the same, but people have treated me like I’m weird because of it and I admit that because of it, I have anger issues with people who are not kind to others.
If you ever read my books you’d find a theme throughout of…[Read more]

@daisy-torres haha that is a problem I am pretty sure I’ll have. I only have about a dozen of people seriously interested in my work, and they insist they will buy copies as soon as possible. That is why I want to publish my series, tbh, so I don’t disappoint them. XD (just kidding, I do want to)
ooo your books sound sick! And the siblings sound…[Read more]

This is difficult territory you tread… but if you were to jump in
and honestly I wouldn’t judge you jfoaewuiar;sdf yeI would suggest starting season one up until like, episode four, then jumping to the beginning of season three(imma rule breaker, I feel so dirty now). Season one and two were all over the place, season three was…[Read more] -

People said that I should use tree sap instead of tar and feathers.
Even though it was a fictional comedy, and I was like 8.
I’m still salty.

This poem makes me think of a particular person in my life. Our relationship has been really complicated and recently some terrible things have happened causing me to only be able to have shallow conversations with them despite me knowing them my entire life. I have so many things I desperately want to ask them and tell them, but…[Read more]

Yeah, heavy themes can be really hard to write well.
But I do really like the ending of your story with the hero scarifying himself at the end. It makes the theme hit so much harder. I barely know anything about your story, but I can see how the theme and character arc might feel half-hearted without him sacrificing himself…[Read more]

Favorite time period? Hmmm… Probably the ancient time period. I definitely would never want to live in that time, but there are so many cool things to learn (and steal for writing purposes) from.
What’s something from history that’s given you a memorable story idea?
Well, I guess I usually come off as pretty quite, introverted,…[Read more]

That’s really interesting! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that.
I’m not sure if you want any tips on ways to maybe help you be more critical of writing, but here’s some thoughts I had that might help.
Sometimes when I’m reading a book and want to use it as a way to improve my own writing, I keep a notebook with me as I read. On…[Read more]
