@devastate-lasting
True. Where do all those Eastern Dragons be tho?True. True. I actually liked the three introductions when I first read it too. I thought it was a deliberate poke at all the fantasy clichés. I hoped the story would be a somewhat fun yet heartfelt parody of the common fantasy stories. However, the rest of…[Read more]

I have written quite a few escape scenes in my lifetime (the very nature of my stories require it to be so), and cliche escape scenes are one of my pet peeves in stories, so I think that I have a few tips that I can help you with.
First, what constitutes a “bad escape scene”?
1. It’s super easy, and it makes the villain look weak
2. It’s…[Read more] -

@daisy-torres Aye, I’ve heard both good and bad things about Wattpad, and I feel like the stuff I write doesn’t fit into the romance vibe of it, so for now I’m hopefully going to be sticking with Webnovel and Tapas. I’m glad you had a good experience with it though.

You’re good. Yes, I did get the email!! Sorry for my late response. The weekend was busy and then school slammed on me right after that, but I plan to be catching up to all my emails this evening. *GASPS* EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I AM SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shortest story to write: That’d be the first novel I completed at like 12 years old. I wrote it in a month, and I have no idea how long it was, probably less than 50K but maybe not. I wrote it by hand, and I was probably able to finish it so quickly because I had a lot of free time on my hands. I was homeschooled with few other hobbies, y’all.…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Lemme see if I can find the premise again…
There are 13 worlds. There are Magic Users. There is a question: “Why is there no happy ending for a Magic User?”
13 different installments, following so many different storylines that somehow entwine together.
This is the story of the Magic Users, and their search for a happy…

Phil is great. My favorite character would probably Rei, but Norman is just a thread behind. I really like both smart and complex characters who are a lot more than what they appear. I kinda expected Rei in the beginning to be the typical emo kid with black hair and Norman to be the typical smart kid who never breaks the rules.…[Read more]

Of course!!! 🙂
THEY ARE!!!!! I’ve seen one and two. Oooo that’s a hard one. I don’t know if I can pick one. I really LOVED number one because Shane Harper was in it, but then again, I just adored the plotline of number two following the teacher. I don’t think I can pick. XD I’m just gonna say both of them. Which one’s your favorite?

@daisy-torres Ah thank you so much! Unfortunately, no, I wouldn’t recommend it. The readerbase is very small already and without signing a contract it is hard to garner any attention for your work. Plus, the site caters much more to genres like LGBT.

Okay, so I’m probably just going to repeat what everyone else has already said since I only skimmed a few of the replies. yeah, I’m lazy. 😂
But I TOTALLY get your question. This is something I’ve been wondering about a lot lately actually. And actually, in my novel, Heir to His Crown, there is a rebellion group that my main character…[Read more]

That’s a GREAT question!!! And actually, I’m in desperate need of some help in this area too with my novel. 😅 So I don’t know how much help I’ll be, but a few things I’m trying to remember with my scene (but seriously, if you guys have ANY tips, I need some too) is to (1) see what everyone else is doing and just… don’t do that

@sparrowhawke Oh, if you’re 18, I’m sure it’ll be fine. I read Monster when I was fifteen. It’s not too gory, and the most sexual stuff is all implied, nothing really explicit on screen. There’s a lot of murder (crime genre for a lot of it) and a lot of very heavy themes, but it’s all very good, so I highly recommend.

@sparrowhawke Ah, ’tis my time to shine.
I’ve read so much manga in the last few years I’m not sure if I should be ashamed or not. At this point I’ve been desensitised to most things so I’m going to watch myself when recommending stuff.
When people ask for reccs usually the first one I recommend is Fullmetal Alchemist! It’s absolutely perfect,…[Read more]

Shortest was a quick three page short called “Delusionary” that was based off of a quick two line conversation someone and I had during rehearsal one day. But short stories aside, I can write 50-80k work in 40 days. But that doesn’t count, actually. Which perfectly segues me into…
