I’ve never considered combining languages to make names, that’s cool! Tho, with my simple brain, if my OC’s had names like that, they’d be forgotten in a heartbeat 😛

Did you make up your names onoyour own, or research them? They sound amazing!

Thats really cool that your Grandfather had a similar name!
She sounds like a great character.
Yeah, it’s funny how characters can completely change from how you originally introduced them and intended them as.

Welcome to the forum! I also play the piano and violin and have an ocarina (I wouldn’t say that I can really ‘play’ it)! I have also been homeschooled my whole life and am a LOTR fan. I am a Christian fantasy writer as well, but haven’t worked on my WIP in a long time.
Now some questions for you (sorry if any of these have…[Read more]

That’s cool. Did you make up that name or find it elsewhere? What’s your book about?
Okay it was New Zealand lol
You sure can. 😁

Ooh, that’s a hard one! Uh uh uh um…can I say all of the one’s I’ve watched except Captain Marvel?
Ooh that sounds so cool!!

Thanks. I read the LOTR and once Elanor the star flower appeared I decided to add it to my favourite names list. Your name is cool itself.
What is the bird in your profile picture? I recognize it from somewhere. Somehow I’m thinking it might live in Australia or New Zealand?

No worries! Thank you for your input, I always appreciate hearing other people’s advice about this issue, since it is something I struggle with more often than I like. With relatively small short stories, I’m fine with restarting them, since a thousand or so words is not as big of a commitment to me as a novel is. But I…[Read more]

@trahia-the-minstrel I decided to move over here because I didn’t want to take up too much space on your introduction topic. You can tag other people for this topic…you know what? @elfwing You were also interested in my dragons, so I’ll tag you too.
So, basically, here I’m going to tell you about the Dragonmen–my [usually Star Wars-derived]…[Read more]

@trahia-the-minstrel YESSSS TECH IS AWESOME! Although my favorite is probably Hunter. Honestly, I like them all. Even Crosshair. I mean, he’s totally evil. But still awesome. I have dragon versions of all of them too.

@trahia-the-minstrel Aha! Here’s my Rex dragon. I honestly really love his scale colors. Sorry if it feels like I’m spamming or taking up the whole topic to myself.

@trahia-the-minstrel Ah, Rex. CC-7567, 501st Legion, Grand Army of the Republic. He’s awesome. Nobody tell me otherwise. (I have a dragon version of him too, I’ll try to find it.) Oh, and for some Star Wars Dragon lore…CloneWings are ice dragons. Myths say no CloneWing has ever cried, but they do have emotions like other dragons (so of course…[Read more]

@trahia-the-minstrel That’s so cool! We might have the same ocarina! And Song of Storms is such a beautiful one to play. I love Song of Time too!
I love the inspirations for your story. The novel I’m planning to write is about a girl who has to save her country from an invading army, but this WIP is still in the very beginning stages of planning…[Read more]

@trahia-the-minstrel In the words of Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi, “Hello there!” (Sorry, reference to one of my favorite books in which a character was always quoting his favorite authors. As well as a Star Wars reference.) I could talk about Star Wars all day if you’d let me. And OH MY GOODNESS YOUR ART IS AMAZING!!! Mine isn’t nearly as good:

@trahia-the-minstrel That’s a good tip! And @Kathleenramm I’ve written stories without villains before, but most of them have had some sort of antagonist. Even if it was the heroine’s overprotective older brother who wasn’t really trying to harm his sister.
