I have had that same premise idea for a while now and I am simultaneously disappointed that someone beat me to it, and very happy that a story like that exists and is published. I shall check it out.

I know that autistic people can give neurotypical people an uncanny valley feeling sometimes. I’ve always felt connected to modern changeling characters. That idea fascinates me. I don’t think so. She doesn’t like feeling out of control of her circumstances. She likes being up high  in trees and things because it’s calming and the view is peaceful. It makes her feel safe. She’s not thrill seeking. (I very much overthought this question)
