I love those kinds of characters and have several.
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who couldn't hear the music
August 5, 2026 at 6:28 pm #213163KP no longer tags me, so I just have to think of checking.
I LOVE THAT IDEA!!! You could make that scene SO COOL!

August 6, 2026 at 11:54 am #213168Is the gold sword the only good powerful weapon, or are there other weapons with good powers that are in league with the Almighty’s sword?
I have thought about this before. Some of the cursed weapons have very powerful abilities, but I don’t know if any others are considered “good.” The reason the Almighty gave people the swords was because they were never supposed to forge the magic weapons in the first place. So, his sword is pretty much just a defense against the cursed weapons. I have thought about developing another type of sword that belongs to a certain group of beings in my story, and it could be in league with the Almighty’s sword, but I don’t know if that would make sense.
I’m probably overthinking the whole concept (as I usually do lol), but this is sorta my thought process: The Almighty is supposed to represent God, and he gave the people a sword that is set apart to fight against the curses that entered the world. And people are all dependent on God, whether they see it or not, so I don’t know that they could conjure up some magic sword on their own without it being cursed or faulty in some way.

KP is acting up, so I hope this goes through.
This is Koshka’s character Ari’s closest cousin (in age). They are quite alike in some ways, and in others it would be harder to be more unlike. I’m not sure they ever meet in cannon, but it would be hilarious if they did.
Arien Avelorion. The paragon of youthful zeal and unshakable devotion. Also invents pearl diving. May end up becoming a king because Someone Has to Do It. Would probably be a horribly competitive Settlers of Catan player (if ever introduced to the game, of course). Also a walking paradox apparently, as the chart will show.

I have a story thought in a similar vein but never thought to have evil swords as well. Is there a visual distinction?

August 8, 2026 at 10:50 am #213175Yeah! The different types of swords have different looks. A specific example would be the sword from the country of T’kayon. I would kind of describe that place as a Land of Pharisees (except they don’t know what Pharisees are lol), since they have so many rules and regulations. It’s also a tundra. Their sword has an icy, rigid look to it, which is like a lot of the people there.

Graduated HS, and I’ve been writing, drawing, spending time with family, getting a job, a lot of things that have kept me busy and off of KP

August 8, 2026 at 2:08 pm #213183@freed_and_redeemed Hi! It’s been a while! How are you doing?

August 8, 2026 at 3:56 pm #213184Got it. I’m assuming the main character wields this sword. Is that right? Who is the MC?
Is Arien from the same kingdom/country/nation as Ari? You said they’re cousins, but they don’t meet. I’d imagine they would meet if they’re both royalty in the same place.

August 8, 2026 at 4:01 pm #213185Nice! Graduating HS and changing up your life a little can take you away from things like KP, for sure. What have you been writing and drawing? What sort of job prospect/active job do you have?

August 8, 2026 at 4:52 pm #213186I’ve been working on writing and art both mainly for my fantasy series haha. I thought it was going to be a trilogy, but atm it looks like it’ll have to be 4 books instead of 3, making it a series rather than the trilogy I first thought it was going to be. I’m almost 20k words into Draft 1 of Book 3; I finished Draft 1 of Book 2 over the time I was gone from KP 😂 Writing has slowed down some with work ofc but still going pretty smoothly.
I work as a classroom assistant in a childcare facility; I can go between rooms but rn I work primarily with kids aged 6 weeks-3 years. I’m parttime and work only 4 days or so a week, and I’m enjoying it so far. I started working back at the beginning of June

August 9, 2026 at 1:07 am #213188August 9, 2026 at 1:16 am #213189Ooh, and icy sword. That’s cool. (Hehe. Sorry. Pun intended.)
A land of Pharasees would be interesting. They were on whole the most accurate interpreters of Scripture, until they began to rely on their own good works and merit to earn salvation. A culture of rules and regulations could be fun to write… Or not so if they were hard to remember. How many countries are in your world?
Yes, they’re family. Unfortunately, Arien’s dad was the one on the receiving end of Veren’s murderous justice tendencies, so the cousins have never met. (The dad did survive by the way. Others… Not so.) The whole family split at the Sundering which was the beginning of the separation of fates mentioned in Koshka’s lore dump. So yeah. Three brothers, three houses, three fates. Arien is the youngest of the youngest house.
