so that’s kind of cheating if it’s for a survival project lol.
Yeah, cheating is fine sometimes, but it’s satisfying to find other solutions when you’re building something in survival. My brothers keep telling me to cheat when I’m trying to find materials for something, but can’t find it, and I think that’s so unfun.

:-p I was a little inspired by Thumbelina. And Pride and Prejudice, come to think of it. The troll family is a bit like the Bennets, except they live in a cave and probably eat people.

Yep. Since he’s supposed to get sadder and more bitter as time passes, the chart didn’t seem complete without some arrows.

Uh… not really. XD Lots of the creatures in his world don’t bother. He has enough fur that clothing isn’t necessary for decency. Cosmo suggests he should wear warm stuff when the weather is cold, so he might wear huge knit sweaters and a bunch of wool. And whatever else he got from raiding abandoned houses.
Now I’m looking back and, while not tempted to make it lighter, realize there’s a lot more pain involved than I thought. Especially now that I actually like his family and friends lol.
I’m afraid to ask what this means.
What if those oaths are actually binding him to something wholy different from what he thinks? 👀 *dramatic gasp*
*Gasp* Oh no, Wilhelm… What if his entire life is upended by this revelation? He doesn’t deserve to have such a thing happen. Or does he? I don’t even know. Character development stuff.

I think it’s interesting that Thumbelina keeps getting into unfortunate situations where she might have to marry someone she does not like. I wonder if the fairy tale is inspired by a societal problem from the time it was made up.

Yeah, thanks! I just got a cough now. I think I accidentally spread it to my mom though. And I have been writing a bit! I finally finished the first draft of my WIP in June. I’m working on chapter 8 of draft two currently.

His life is definitely upended, but sometimes that’s a good thing. As much as I like his family and culture, it’s got a dark side that smells suspiciously like deceit or maybe even treason.
He never stops being a super zealous knight though. I think he grows up to be a knight errant, traveling into dangerous places in the world to offer hope. And he gets on very good terms with the angelic folk he saw in his mother’s garden as a kid.

I don’t think so. She doesn’t like feeling out of control of her circumstances. She likes being up high in trees and things because it’s calming and the view is peaceful. It makes her feel safe. She’s not thrill seeking. (I very much overthought this question)
