*jumps in brandishing notebook of story prompts*
So, one of the most interesting writing prompts I’ve ever done was to start with J.R.R. Tolkien’s “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit…” and then to work out what hobbits are and why they live in a hole. The only rule is, of course, that your hobbits can’t be anything like Tolkien’s. It…[Read more]

Yeah, the music in Phantom is much more sophisticated, but I like how fun and bouncy Newsies is (and I love how cute they are when they’re angry too). I wouldn’t know a good NY accent from a bad one, but it’s always annoyed me that all the characters in Les Mis have Cockney accents when they are French. And yes, th…[Read more]

Ah, I just realised that you’re giving the idea to us to use. I should read things properly sometimes, it would really help me in life. I’d be much better at cooking.

Oh yes, I’m currently multitasking between making origami flowers and outlining my sequel.

Newsies is one of my favourites! Are you enjoying it?
I have heard of Oliver, but I purposely haven’t listened to it yet because I’m very strict about adhering to the rule of reading the book first. and despite calling myself a Dickens love, I have not read Oliver Twist. Shocking, I know. So I plan to listen to it after I’ve read…[Read more]

Ha! I always knew Legolas was extremely untrustworthy…
I’d read it. and probably reread it! It sounds like a really good plot and definitely has room for some great character development. I think you should definitely go for it, when you get time (ha…time…)

I don’t know if you’re still here, but I’ve finally got time to write (yay!!!).
More musicals?? (YAY!!!!) Hit me! Well, no, don’t hit me, throw them gently.

I might be around this afternoon but I’m not sure as we’re going out for my brother’s birthday and I’m not sure when we’ll be back.

You should just write parodies of popular novels. I would most definitely read them.

Well, yes, but I can’t tell that. As far as I’m concerned there is no such thing as an Australian accent. It’s called talking normally 😛
What about the Mull of Kintyre (I think that’s correctly spelt).
I’ve heard Danny Boy, I think, but I’m not sure about the others. Have you ever heard of Daniel O’Donnell?? He’s an Irish singer…[Read more]

I don’t have a future career in either, but I love doing both!
Not really. Sometimes I do, I like Scottish/Irish music, but they don’t usually have lyrics, or at least, the lyrics are hard to understand and more part of the music, like in Riverdance. But sometimes my dad likes to get out all the Scottish songs and he is really…[Read more]

Well, if we’re counting church plays, I have actually been in one, which a member of our church wrote a whole lot of us put on for the community. I was Elsa the Doll (as in Elsa from Frozen), but I only actually had a speaking role because my friend (who would make a really good Elsa as she’s tall, thin and blonde) backed out, so I e…[Read more]

@rochellaine I sometimes talk in German for no particular reason :D.
I don’t think I’ve ever been in a play…nope, I’ve never been in a play. In a lot of ballets though, as a Scottish dancer (don’t question it), The Nutcracker, Arabian Nights, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Coppelia…
It does look very cool, but it’s…[Read more]

It looks so cool! I haven’t actually got around to looking for the original yet, but the Goodman Theatre (I’ve never even heard of Goodman Theatre before) looks awesome. I also saw a school production of Bonnie Jean, but they weren’t highland dancing, I’ve no idea what it was, but it wasn’t highland dancing.
I haven’t listened to…[Read more]
