I will give you fair warning though, if it haps to torment my dainty tum, I perchance may spew forth such baneful criticism that your ears shall ring for a month and a day. But, on the other side of the donut, if the writing is sweet like icing to my taste, I…[Read more]

Power replied to the topic feeling ashamed of your writing? in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 6 months ago
@joy-calle If you don’t mind, which of your stories are you editing, and what do you mean by ashamed? (You think the writing is just bad, you truly feel embarrassed about the story/plot, or you feel sick/depressed when you try to edit?)

So, from an old homeschool fogey such as myself, graduation was awesome! (The part that what my shrivel elderly gray matter can remember of two years ago.) What an epic Hot Wheels battle I just had!!! Who would have imagined that the black and red Lotus Concept would have survived to the very end! Beating the green and blue Country Club Muscle™ by literally trapping it against my floor mat, and box of pennies/rocks, then smashing the poor CCM to oblivion!!! 🏎️

@mineralizedwritings Don’t worry, you don’t have to. I just realized that Crested Gibbons aren’t monkeys, they are apes. So, instead of the hairdryer I need a traffic cone!!!

@mineralizedwritings The post set off your alarms too?
I did do a little research on the guy, and found very little on this “top book cover illustrator in the UK” 🤨 On the upside, I went to where his links supposedly go to, and the website seems legit.
