@joy-caroline GIIIRRRLLL! You are seriously making my day! These are GOLD! I might have to make a meme page on the Ignite bonus content website… In fact, I think I will right now. 😉
To everyone; any fanart made is also shared (with permission and with credit to the creator) on the Ignite bonus content website. 🙂

Heya!!!! Ooo, yeah, so that was a plug-in I found. The site I’m using is a wordpress.org site and not a .com (I don’t know if things change for different platforms… yes there is a difference. 😉 ) but I had heard about this free plug-in that you can install and activate on your WordPress site. What I did was go under the section…[Read more]

Ooh I like it! 😍 Since I haven’t written much fantasy, I’ll leave that up to others. But awesome job! -
Issabelle Perry replied to the topic Fantasy Kingdom Names in the forum Fantasy 5 years, 2 months ago
There’s not really any secret. I just put letters together until I’m satisfied with the name. Another thing you can do (which I learned from Jennifer A. Nielsen) is to take a name–let’s say Alabama–and then you just keep replacing the letters in that word until you’re satisfied with the result. So for Alabama, I might first change…[Read more]

Jenna Terese replied to the topic Please help me! in the forum General Writing Discussions 5 years, 2 months ago
@ariel-f A lot of the time I try to put myself in the character’s shoes, or really get in their head. If I was that character, how would I feel if [fill in the blank] happened to me? Getting really deep into their internal conflict, backstories, lies they believe, their values, etc. really helps them come alive and connects them to both author and…[Read more]

Oooooo I would DEFINITELY love some character art!!!! THANKS SO MUCH for the tag!!! I’ll go with the lead girl character in my current WIP. Her name is Ashlee and she is sixteen. She has medium-length auburn hair and brown eyes. Anyway, I searched and searched to try to find the image I used for my mock cover for Ashlee’s story, but I…[Read more]

Issabelle Perry replied to the topic Writing the Climax in the forum General Writing Discussions 5 years, 2 months ago
Hmmm… this is a tough one. I don’t know how much I can help you with this but one thing I always try to remember is, what happens at the climax doesn’t matter as much as what happens leading up to it. Literally, whatever your mc has been trying to get throughout the whole story, just take it from her. If there’s some romance,…[Read more]

*GASP* EEEEEE!!! I am sooo excited to hear you’re making a website!!! Lemme know when it releases so I can check it out!!! It seems everyone else has already given you lotsa great tips, but don’t worry about not having that contact page thing. Hardly anyone ever uses it on TWN. And I see some people who are mentioning things about…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12
That’s so exciting! 😀 I think a home page, blog page, contact page, and a page for your WIPs is sufficient. That’s so awesome that you’re creating a website! -
Jenna Terese replied to the topic Writing a series where the books aren't technically related…? in the forum General Writing Discussions 5 years, 2 months ago
@nova21 I do like series set in the same world but aren’t necessarily connected. 👍🏽 But I think to achieve this successfully the world building has to be done really well and made interesting enough for the reader to stay in that world. In this kind of situation, I personally like it when the books are at least a little bit connected, even if it’s…[Read more]
