Oh cool!
It was really good though, so I don’t blame him. XD What shocks me is that the series was the first books Andrew Peterson had ever written. And from the nonfiction he’s written, I think I’ve found out that he had everything planned from the beginning of writing them. (At least that’s what I understood. He never blatantly stated it.)

Yeah, that’s what I thought too. I think my mind broke at the last book when everything was explained and the story was ended. Like, I have never seen a plot like that before. XD

Sooo, I really enjoyed writing this snippet from my WIP. I’ve been developing their brother dynamic a lot more and I’m loving it. XD The context isn’t that important, I just wanted to share their bantering, lol.

“Yeesh. Dark magic. Sounds pretty dangerous. But this school… it kind of keeps everything out, ya know? You don’t have to worry about all the crazy stuff. I don’t know how it works, but to be honest, I’m glad this place exists. It nice to not live in a fear of arrest or capture for once.” His voice had taken on a low,…[Read more]

Yes!! I love him!! 😆
I have a habit of almost making too many snarky characters. Then all my dialogue ends up just bantering. 🤣

XD And people tease you about looking at boys or talking about them, and you are genuinely confused because you obviously don’t feel that way.
I was hardly ever teased in school, actually.
…Probably because I accidentally developed a permanent death glare in middle school and wore it all the way through to jr year. Accidentally s…[Read more] -

Right. Someone I was talking to was like, “there always has to be a reason!” And I’m like, “uh, sinful nature.” Yes, this character has daddy issues, but I’m not going to reward him for his selfish attitude, I’m going to call him out for it and punish him in-story. Even a person with perfect parents and a loving environment i…

Oh, like with the Peanuts?
XD No. It’s a Disney cartoon that has just two seasons. It has fun characters and a really well planned out story with a good ending.
It’s about two siblings, Dipper and Mabel, who go to their great uncle’s (gruncle’s) house for the summer. Their gruncle lives in Gravity Falls, a tiny town in Oregon where…[Read more]

I meant hypothetically, if a girl was open to dating, those things wouldn’t push her away.
ok, yeah, you’re right.
I remember being confused when my old school friends had crushes on very annoying, trouble making boys in our class. -

YES, this. I’ve tried to explain this to some people and they don’t get it for some reason.
I think people tend to forget that humans are irrational. We don’t always do things that make sense. So writers try to rationalize their characters’ bad behavior by giving them tragic backstories.
(Maybe? Idk, just a theory)
