@freedomwriter76 Wow, lots of Christian music. You can also make playlists on Youtube if you have that.

Great selection! Makes me want to hear more about your WIP.

@freedomwriter76 I like them enough, don’t actively follow them but they have some songs I really like, haha. They’re pretty catchy.

Do you have any playlists you’d like to share?

@freedomwriter76 I write them when I have time and inspo, heh.

Here’s one for like the last novel I was working on last year:

@freedomwriter76 I make playlists occasionally for short stories if I’m feeling bored, or just add songs I think fit with a novel to a playlist to eventually sort out, heh. I think they’re somewhere on Spotify? I’d share if anyone wants t see em.

@lewilliams Hey! I just now saw your message to me. I seriously have no idea how I missed it. XD But anyway, to answer your question, I’m actually not on YDubs, but I do have friends who are on it.

Hey Sam!

Yeah, KP Critiques has been put on hold. Mainly because, to put it blatantly, my sister was the one doing critiques but she moved on to other things, so we currently don’t have anyone able to critique work at the moment.

Though I do know that some people here on the forum who like to critique each others’ stories so…[Read more]

First, my apologies for the belatedness of this response. Thankfully I haven’t forgotten that I didn’t reply yet, as has happened on occasion. (If I ever don’t reply to something for a looong time, that is probably exactly what happened.)

Medieval Fantasy has been quite the adventure to write! I don’t know if I’m good at it or…[Read more]

@samuel-p-robbins I was so confused seeing my message on here lol.

@kathleenramm Honestly I really like how well everything’s tying together for it (plot, themes, character, worldbuilding, backstory, etc etc). Probably my most structured novel yet? I’m enjoying the single POV and small cast of characters, a nice change of pace from my usual big casts, as well as structuring internal and external conflict to all…[Read more]

@kathleenramm

For my current WIP it would either be the themes or characters, as they are heavily intertwined. It’s the first project I was able to pin down a point of focus before starting the book.

(I don’t pants, however I’m not sure if what I do counts as plotting. I have nearly the entire storyline in my head, but only a few scenes figured,…[Read more]

Greetings, @freedomwriter76 and welcome to KP!

I’m called Elishavet around here, and I mostly write realistic(no magic) medieval fantasy. I also write poetry and children’s church material.

While I have never actually written historical fiction, I love to read it. One thing I like about the genre I do write is that I can work in as many random…[Read more]

Viktor

Silence descended upon them, letting only thought move. Viktor fingered his sling and waited for the sound of heavy footsteps.

Rough leather between his fingers, smooth stones at his belt. He glanced at Alya. She clutched her torch and gave him something like a smile.

What would happen…[Read more]

Ah, good question. I’m far from an expert on this, but I have been in a similar situation with some characters.

His name was Reúven, my MCs closest friend who in some ways was like a mentor. He was also on the edge of being perfect and flat. He wasn’t really human.

So I stepped back and looked at his character. After a bit of…[Read more]

@jodi-maile I know I wrote an article about online publishing for @gracie-j sometime last year, hopefully you can find it here in the first issue: https://skysthelimitpress.wixsite.com/home/the-journal

@godlyfantasy12

So, I’m still working on my playlists, which is why I haven’t shared any songs yet.

But I really want to share some!!! So, here we are.

Oh, by the way, @Koshka and @lydia-s You have good taste. 😉 Sight and Sound is awesome! They’re one of the first I go to for bookish songs.

Also, I have had a hard time getting songs for my…[Read more]
