Kathleen started the topic Merch much? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 3 months ago
So as you may or may not know, back in the hey day of KP, we had a shop on the site full of writing related merch.
I was thinking of bringing it back, but I have some questions:
What kind of designs would do you like?
What kind of clothes do you like?
More graphic based designs or more text-based designs?
More colorful designs or monotone…[Read more]

Hi! Welcome to the forum! It’s awesome to have you here.
Here’s just a few questions I have so we can get to know each other a bit more: (Also, I can totally relate to your commitment issue that you mentioned, haha)
Do you have a favorite book and author?
What’s the premise of your current WIP?
Also, mint chocolate chip ice-cream:…[Read more]

Hi there! My name is Kayla Blick, and I am so happy to have wandered across Kingdom Pen! To be surrounded by young adults of the faith AND who have a love of writing? This is really a dream come true!
Besides writing, I have many different hobbies, including reading, crochet, snails, homesteading, WWII novels, Norwegian, and aviation. I love…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 I mean, I don’t know much about psychology but from my understanding DID can often start due to trauma, for example, if someone as a child is being abused they might imagine whatever is happening to them is happening to someone else, therefore creating another personality as they mature. Other than that, I know nothing, and I would…[Read more]

I can’t hold them in. *Sigh* maybe a few won’t hurt the system.
What are November’s uncontrollable powers?
How did he escape being killed?
Who exactly is his father?
About how old are these characters when the explosion comes?
Did Eder know?
What color eyes does Corvina have? (Sorry if you already said somewhere and I just…[Read more]

I. Did. Not. See. That. Coming.
Wow. No wonder his father is so awful…wait. is he really his Dad? (You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.)
This will definitely stay here!
And now so many questions are piling up in my head that I’d better not start asking any more. The forum may not be able to take it. XD

(Yeah, I just read the actually helpful stuff, skipped over the rest, and marked out the language with a black pen.)
Oh November! You are putting me into a rhyming mood, which is not exactly safe, at least for my bedtime schedule.
Seriously though, the poor BABY!!

Go on, go on! *Florishes one hand*
(You’ve read ‘Save the Cat!’ too?)
Poor November…
*deep, heartfelt sigh*

Wow. You just wrote that today? This is first draft? I am…
*Groan*
You painted a vivid picture of this character in my head, and when he screamed I heard him. I have a definite love/hate relationship with this type of character. They wring my heart.
Because they’re real.
They’re all around us.

Awesome!
Yeah, the only good series I’ve found is Promise of Zion, by Robert Elmer.
Weird random question; are your Jewish MCs Messianic, Orthodox, or something in between? (I’m supposing they’re not just by heritage, but they could be, I suppose.)

Thank you!
*Having snooped through all the rest of this board*
I love that you’re writing stories during the healing period after WWII! I haven’t found many good books set in that time (well, besides a couple nonfiction stuff, but anyhoo).

Here’s a collage for a novella I haven’t even hinted at on here, (So conniving) mostly as it has not a working title.
Or character names. For anyone. (I’ve written most of the first chapter without even an idea yet. And I plot. Not pants.)
Anyway, here’s my MC!

Aaaggghhhh! All I want to do now is somehow drag your published work out of the future, curl up in an invisible corner, and trade this world for A’Grend.
*Sigh*
The impossible wishes of an imagination.

*I sand in stupefied wonder at the door. Such an intriguing hall, such high stacks of locked chests hiding who knows what secrets…*
What gave you this idea!?
I have so many spoilers, most of them back-stories for charries. Like the reason behind Viktor’s best friend’s loathing of Dorwinian boots. Or which certain MCs will end…[Read more]

Oh, and thank you for sharing! It was good.
I’m often too hesitant to share any of my actual work, but I need to stop that. 😉
I hope your day continues to get better!
By the way, I totally get the whole tragic-story-makes-you-cry-even-though-you-wrote it thing. Especially when it’s based off a real event. I may have a few of…[Read more]

Oof, that’s HARD! And well done wrenching out your reader’s heart strings. 😉
Your story sounds amazing, and from what I can tell from this clip, you’re writing over a time that is often ignored in YA historical fiction: the season of healing. Am I right?
By the way, if you are interested in the Jewish side of WWII, have you…[Read more]
