Secret identities are so fun right? Do you have a particular character with a secret identity in a story you’ve written most?
Haha, Sometimes stories need a bit of angst you know? Plus those characters tend to be mysterious and I love mystery, (who knows they could even have a secret identity) XD.
Oh, I too quite enjoy the…[Read more]

What’s the most common trope you use in your writing? Chosen one, love triangle, damsel in distress, old wise man, tragic backstory, secret identity, etc.
The most common trope I use in my stories is most definitely the secret identity trope. Without even realizing, I end up with three characters with secret identities in pretty much every story I…[Read more] -

That sounds like a beautiful story! I love stories that explore themes and struggles but always have a light of hope from God. Those are the most impactful and memorable stories for me.
How did you get the idea for the story?
Those parallels inThe Mafia of Heather Flights sound so interesting. I watched one…[Read more]

Hey, so I was recently inspired by Allison’s recent article delving into Iron Man’s character arc, and it made me curious if any of you have writing positive character arcs before.
And if so, why you did it, how it went, etc. You know, just a chat about character arcs and maybe some tips you’ve learned from your own personal experience.
So…[Read more]

I still have yet to read Ignite, but I was still laughing!

Kathleen replied to the topic Your Villain gets transported into the “real world” in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 4 months ago
Woah, I felt like I just read the unfolding of a dramatic event in a roller-coaster story with complex characters and backgrounds, in a single short paragraph.
Maybe you should write a spin-off book off of that where the villain travels into a dimension where he is a villain of a popular book series and runs into the author who pretends…[Read more]

Oh no! Your villain doesn’t sound like the type to spend the entire series chasing the hero only miss AGAIN just by the tiniest margin because his henchmen forgot the keys haha. XD
Pretending to be his daughter would be smart, but incredibly cruel. Well, I mean, if it’s a life and death situation…

Your main antagonist of a story of your choice gets transported into the “real world” into the grocery store nearest to your house. What do you do?
1. Call the authorities
2. Give them some money for food and shelter
3. Say that you would give them money if you could, but your broke
4. Tell them that their shoes are untied then steal their coo…[Read more]

Kathleen replied to the topic What do you do when you hit a roadblock in your story? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 4 months ago
Who disses writing prompts? I mean everybody bases a story off of something, why not on a few sentences a stranger wrote on the internet? XD
But, yeah, like you said taking a step back a daydreaming is like the magical cure.
I’ve never heard of the sleep talker method, but maybe I should try it out sometime with my…[Read more]

Man, those patriotic m&ms look pretty tasty. Were going to have to have another surprise party so that I can get another chance at winning some. Plus the last party was pretty fun, even if it was a bit chaotic.
As for party gift prizes, I’d love a gift of maybe a sentence (or maybe even a paragraph) of story you’ve…[Read more]

Cool! I just started reading The Wingfeather Saga and I’m a few chapters in.
What makes the series one of your favorite? And do you have a favorite book and character from the series?
ah, yes, C.S. Lewis is amazing. I’ve only read the Chronicles of Narnia and a few of his non-fictional work, but I’ve been wanting to read his space…[Read more]

What do you do when you hit a road-block in your story?
There are usually two things I do.The first thing that helps me the most is talking about it with my siblings. Talking about it and brainstorming ideas together is probably the most helpful thing to me.
However, there are the times when either my siblings have absolutely no interest in…[Read more]

Hey! Welcome to the forum! Sorry for being a tad-bit late, but transporting 13,794 balloons to this party was a bit trickier than my grandfather told me.
Ah! I also brought some cherry soda if you’d like any. It’s not the best cherry soda in the world, (that requires a plane ticket to North Carolina and a…[Read more]

A Party sounds spectacular. I’ve gone to quite a few parties in my life time, and by many I mean two. Both of which involved burnt cookies and awkward conversations with people who were in the weird gray area between friend and acquaintance.
I’ll bring bottled cherry soda, gift them with the opportunity to choose…[Read more]
