Pretty much, lol. We like to give a little bio about our characters before adding them in though (appearance, age, maybe a few characteristics [so we could group them with another character that could cause some personality clashes], etc.)

I’m in! This week is gonna be crazy busy and next week school starts, so I can’t be super active either.
I think I’ll either stick with Everton and Adrian or play with some newly created characters… 😏 If no one wants to RP first I can start.

I have a scene you might possibly like.
“What do you want?” inquired a strange masculine voice behind him.
Nahim swung around, his crystal sword hitting a breastplate, damaging the paint. Nahim leaned back in surprise. This man seemed to be wearing mithaln! The man, his face covered by a helmet of the style commonly use…

I’ve made it a point in the past year or so to make eye contact when I’m listening to someone, but sometimes I start thinking of ways I’d describe their eyes in a book and stop paying attention to what they’re actually saying. 🫣😂

My brother doodles an EXCESSIVE amount of weapons and weapon parts. sometimes just the outside, sometimes down to runes on swords and insides of guns. He also doodles out things he’s inventing at the time. Oh, and strange shape combinations that all fit into each other kinda like a puzzle.

Typically I’m not emotional during movies, but when I watched If, it got me tearing up, especially the part where the girl (can’t remember her name, lol) is talking to her dad when he’s asleep in the hospital. I do remember thinking that it was a little dramatic, her being super worried about her dad as soon as things went downhill. (In fact, if…[Read more]

@anyone
(I’m posting this here cuz I don’t want to make a whole new topic 😛 )
I’ve heard mixed opinions on this, so I wanted to hear what y’all think. Do you find it annoying to read stuttering when it’s written into dialogue?
I ask that because some people suggest to indicate that the character was stuttering by the dialogue tag. The probl…[Read more]

Like this.

Any ideas?
Thanks so much!!

One afternoon, Aaron was sitting on the edge of his bed, studying his Bible, when Noah stepped into the room, a Bible in his own hands. “Aaron, can I talk to you?”
“Yeah sure,” said Aaron, motioning to the bed.
Noah sat down. “Aaron, I was reading through the Bible, cover to cover as you sugge…

Noah knew he was dead, he just didn’t know that Aaron was there when he died. Does that section need to be re-written to make that a little clearer? He’s not confused, he just was asking Aaron why he didn’t tell them that he had to see it happen. That’s rough, you know? You can’t just bury that one.
Yes, he did write in his…[Read more]

Yeah, honestly, if you were to show some good parental interaction along with the bad, and show as the author that you don’t believe the while children know best thing, then I think you’re set.
Oh that’s awesome! I bet that was so fun to see her again! And her husband too. Hope you had a great time! I’ll probably have to cut…[Read more]

The dragon took to the skies, soaring after the bird.
“Cowards!” She exclaimed at the boys down below. “If the can’t handle surprises in life, then they won’t live long.” Her great head turned, one purple eye trained on the three boys on her back, holding onto the spines along her backbone. “But you deserve my help. With me on…[Read more]

But it’s not my “morals for writing” it’s the fact that I created a badly done character and the males in my life were able to point that out! And even then, it’s not so much my writing they talk about as much as hearing them talk about other badly done males from movies and books. I value their opinion just as much, or…[Read more]
