Pastor Nikolai Aleksandr Smirnov and MGB Agent Peter Dimitri Kuznetsov together as the MCs of a novel would be fabulous…I’m getting ideas already…oh no XXD
What?! Another book? Oh dear. XD
A quick side note: did you intend Alesandr and Dimitri to be middle names or were you referring to patronymics (the father’s (or other…[Read more]

SD Smith quotes…
“Call me Master, child.”
“Yes Masterchild.”
“I’d go for Joe’s arm. He’s sensitive there and has to get it wrapped by the pretty doctors every day.”
“Hey!” Joe said “They make me. It’s not like I want to.”
“Semi-madness?” Emma laughed. “So he’s ahead of you on the madness scale. That’s good.”
“I waked up this…[Read more]

Ooof. It’s so hard to pick a favorite character. XD Especially when I haven’t actually read the book book yet.
As you know, I do like Leon. He was my first favorite, when I first met them. He also reminds me of other characters I have long adored (Natan Israeli, Judah Ben-Hur). At times I don’t enjoy his arc very much,…[Read more]

That was so sweet! I love how you tied it all together, and Isabel is adorable.
Who is this Lina? She sounds so sweet and soo much more than a cripple.
Franz…you ignoramus. I’m about to use my store of archaic insults on you.

What if he puts a flower in her hair? What if one of the boys finds a snail or frog and wants to take it home?

Awwww, I’ve been so wanting a sweet scene for poor Leon. He’s been through so much.
A walk would be sweet. What about Leon and his daughter picking flowers? The boys could find an earthworm to tantalize their sister with, which could transition into memories of teasing Aadelheide if you wanted (I don’t know if he did, it just…[Read more]

Are you struggling with the plotting itself? or missing scenes?
If you have a vague idea for a scene, you have the base for that scene. How would you describe the event? What emotions are the characters going through? Where is the setting? How did the characters get there? Who all is there? Which ideas could happen first? Are some of these ideas…[Read more]

I don’t know exactly how to help, but I’ll try. Do you want scene ideas, or a workable method to create scenes, or something else?
Here’s a list of scenes I would kinda like to see someday. Discard if not helpful or unfitting.

@godlyfantasy12 Oh wow, that’s a pretty big thing to portray. And has gotten my brain on a rabbit trail with Moses and his siblings. Some people don’t realize that when they are critical of God’s minister they are undermining of God’s authority, just like Mirriam and Aaron over Moses’s non-Hebrew wife. As Mirriam learned, that’s not a good place…[Read more]

Does he know what he will be doing is spying? Or does he think he’s supposed to watch out for Ara to keep her safe or something?
In other words, if he thinks the information being passed to his father will be for Ara’s benefit, why? Does he think that Ara could be unknowingly endangering herself, and that the King wants his…[Read more]

I was wondering if they had an accent…
Amanda has an east Texas accent/drawl. So how I normally speak. XD
Jayson is from French speaking Canada, but has very little accent due to living to the school and living with the Katz’s since he was 7.
Raphael speaks English with a central American accent, Ashkenazic Yiddish, and…[Read more]

Let’s hope I’m not double posting this…
You know others know you’re a writer, when your dad says in front of the whole church “when my girls hear the word ‘character’, they instantly come up with things like backstory and plot.”
And when you added “character arc, weapon choice, world building” under your breath, you know it’s true.
