Greetings and salutations.
Welcome to this epic forum.
Questions:
1: What other anime do you watch besides Hiakyuu? My favorites are Death note, Erased and Attack On Titan
2: Don’t like pineapple on pizza.

I 100% mean what I said! Your art is amazing!
Yeah, I do art too! Last year I challenged myself to draw a sketch a day for a year, so my art improved a lot last year. However this year has been it bit harder to draw since I’m trying to get my drivers license, acting in plays, plus trying to improve my YouTubing skills, oh and of course…[Read more]

My jaw literally dropped when the image loaded on my screen.
The character design is so unique and the colors and blending is gorgeous. Everything from the eyes hair and clothing is perfect.
Do you use colored pencils or pastels?

Hey! Welcome to the forum! It’s awesome to have you here.
I’m Kathleen, and I live most of my life in fictional worlds rather than in reality. May not be the best decision, but at least I can come up with a bunch of cool story ideas. XD
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Haikyu, but haven’t watched it. As of now, probably my…[Read more]

Kathleen replied to the topic What are the 2 (or 3) biggest stakes in your story? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 3 months ago
I love hearing what movies or books inspired writers to write their own stories. It’s so fun to see one person’s story inspire another story that possibly will inspire yet another person’s story. XD
It’s really cool how you were able to take all of your favorite things about stories and make them into your own story.
Have you ever…[Read more]

That’s really cool how it started off as a world you wanted to escape to. It kinda makes me want to do the same.
I feel like it would be really fun, but also could be really cathartic and make an interesting story with all the freedom for imagination.
How long ago did you start making the stories?
With each…[Read more]

Hey, sorry about the late welcome, but WELCOME anyway! I’m Ella, I write dystopian/thriller/suspense/mystery/post-apocalyptic/YA novels. I love myself a good mystery/thriller book on a rainy day with a cup of tea, if I’m in the mood. If I’m not, I’m most likely in the gym or playing basketball or hanging with friends. And writing is…[Read more]

Thanks! Well, i always had the idea for Hope’s character in the back of my head, but watching the Will Smith movie, I Am Legend inspired me to expand the plot. That movie, paired with Interstellar really sealed the bill for me. XD I love complex plots, high stakes, and characters searching for family/romance, so this story is b…[Read more]

That sounds really interesting! The world where anyone could be insane is so cool and works so well with the MC’s desire for family. It sets up a really clear desire vs fear.
Where did you get the idea for Spirals?
I really love these kind of simple yet really intriguing premises. I tend to overcomplicate things in…[Read more]

Tbh, i feel like every era was just plain bad. XDÂ Maybe i’d go back to the eighties and nineties to jam out and crowdsurf XDDDÂ Not a super intelligent answer, but that’s what I’d do:)

for my WIP Spirals, the stakes are the choices between life and death. Hope, the MC, lives alone in the wild and wants a “family” more than anything: parents, friends, anyone. Every decision she makes decides if she’ll survive the next morning. The people living in the post-apocalyptic world are basically insane so she never know…[Read more]

What’s the 2 biggest stakes in your story?
So I’m going to be using the story I’m writing with my siblings, because my solo novel that I’m currently working on is still a baby. The MC Bennet’s main goal in the beginning of the novel is to get enough money so he no longer has to steal for a living.
In the beginning, the two biggest stakes if he…[Read more]

I know! I think that’s the very thing that makes him so relatable. We sympathize with him because of all the mental torture he put himself through, but at the same we are annoyed with how mean and pathetic he can be.
It’s not a character you want to relate to because, who wants to be Colin? But his positive character arc gives hope for…[Read more]

That sound like a really fun and chill way to write. Just letting ideas flow as you write the novel.
Where you find you get the most story ideas from?
Following characters is the best right? So many fun and out-of-no-where ideas come to me when I do that. Plus writing is so much easier.
I’ve done it with outlined…[Read more]

Haha, that’s okay! Grace gave some great tips!
It’s cool how you just took up a pen and started writing stories when you were younger!
Funny, I don’t think I remember a time where I didn’t know what outlining was, I guess because I grew up in a family of writers. XD
It totally makes sense that you outline Biblical…[Read more]

Yep! I’m somewhere in between a plotter and pantser, I pantsed some novels and plotted others. At the moment I’m pantsing my way through a historical fantasy novel, and my last WIP was almost completely pantsed too. However, I do tend to plot my NaNoWriMo novels, because I don’t write pantsed novels fast at all (I’ve been working on…[Read more]
