Hmm… Does she have to be a princess in order to be at the tournament? If so, perhaps her coronation got put on hold for some reason. Is there a required mourning period for the heir to the throne before they take the crown? Was there some trouble at the palace? Perhaps a jealous upstart or a plot to kill her required her to flee from…[Read more]

Hey, so glad you joined us! 😀
Oh, I hope you can write one someday! They’re so much fun… XD
Seriously, if I can create something like some of the IRL proposals I’ve heard, I will be so happy! So, my favorite proposal scene is pretty long, so I’m going to pare it down a bit. I’ll just skip to where things start moving along. ;)…[Read more]

(Wow, I’m honored to have been the first to do it!)
Yeah, it would be rather odd for a 16-year-old to propose, wouldn’t it? lol But I’m so happy that you’re nearing the first one you’ll write! They’re so much fun… XD
Yay, hello! Glad you popped over.
I have to admit I do love a good Mr. Darcy-type character. And though…[Read more]

Yeah, guys crying makes me emotional XDÂ I haven’t actually seen it in real life very often, but I didn’t think they were sissy for it.
Lol yessss a good scene with people crying adds sympathy to the hurting character, totally. Someone I know is writing an novel, and the MC’s best friend said, “Crying isn’t weak. Or at least… I hope…[Read more]

*sighs happily again* Oh my… Teary, emotional scenes with men in them? You have seriously just described one of my all-time favorite scenes to write. XD
As Elizabeth and JC said, I don’t think it weakens the manliness of a man to show him crying. I know I enjoy a good emotional scene involving guys… 😛 Anyway, I feel like that…[Read more]

She looks gorgeous! I go to a barn in the summer, and my equine bestie is a bay Thoroughbred. She’s super pretty and super sweet. 😉 Was your horse a Paint?
Ah, Tolkien, the master storyteller. He ranks high among my own personal favorites, partly because of how gifted he was. I haven’t heard of the other two authors you mentioned before…[Read more]

So I also read your chapters you posted, and I find the plot very intriguing!! It’s well made as far as the actual story, I found it exciting and curiosity invoking!
for improving the sentence structure, I would say to add more motion to the characters, wide eyes can be used for surprise or fear, and raised eyebrow for skepticism, gasp…[Read more]

what if she abdicates being queen? is she under 18? you could do where if they’re under 18 a lord protector can rule in the young monarch’s stead? This has happened in European countries with child monarchs…
idk if that is helpful or not…

ok cool!
yes… she’s part Silyan, and then she has Brennavaian, Elphin, Star-Eye, Phelanian, Bardan and Peluvaro in her bloodline too. she’s 5’4″, ash-blonde hair and eyes that shift colors and is a little tigress when you make her mad, which is a bad idea, since she has Bardan (griffin morpher) in her, and Peluvaro (owl…[Read more]

@elfwing Whoa, that sounds amazing! Reminds me vaguely of this movie I once watched called Maquia…
Is your main character part of the Silyans?

@ariel-f Ah, I’ve been meaning to read some Star Wars books. I have, mainly, one that’s been sitting by my couch for years. The movie adaptions are really good though.
Oh, you should try it sometime! It’s quite good!
Ah, unfortunately I am not talented enough to write such a beautiful lyric. It’s a translation from Kenshi Yonezu’s “Campanella”,…[Read more]

this is true about sadness; and a good reminder for not making writing too dramatic
And yeah it totally depends on the person! I have been starting to boycott making characters cry with sad things, usually I use things like them going tense, “eyes dulling”, “looking weary”, “jaw clenched”, etc… but I have those heartbroken scenes…[Read more]
