Leroy Arvengton, the oldest son of a very rich family, showed his intelligence by graduating high school when he was ten.
Just when he has his sights set on college, his parents suddenly die in an accident. Leroy is ripped away from his familiar life and shipped to a secretive school called Eximus on a mysterious island.

Thanks for the book shout-out (The Journal Is Important)! I hope you enjoy my series. Have you read the last one yet, The Rookie Has A Mission? I haven’t even ordered my author copy yet. I’ll do that…eventually…
By the way, the journal is important. Somewhat. Just wanted to let you know. Just in case the title made it unclear. XD

That sounds like a scary situation! Since I first published this post, Clyde has since plummeted toward the ground far below (and technically, he’s still plummeting since I haven’t written past that).

Hi!
I don’t know much about rock climbing (I’ve read up on it, but I’ve never actually climbed anything besides a climbing wall), and I’m writing a scene in which a character falls off of the side of the cliff he is scaling and gets seriously injured. I want to make sure I’m writing it correctly, so if anyone knows from experience rock climbing…[Read more]

I get an email from a person who is interested in reading more of my books and wants to become my agent. Oddly enough, the person signs off as “MULLOG”. Odder still, I actually go and meet this person I don’t know for lunch.
The person insists that we eat at a place that primarily serves raw food, mostly fish. As I wait at a table, I slowly…[Read more]

This is such a cool idea! I have self-published my first book this year on Amazon. It’s a children’s book targeted to ages 9-12 called Memory Lane Was Moved. Here is the description:
When eleven-year-old Travis wakes up in a strange room with no memory, he embarks on an adventure of a lifetime. Teaming up with Sadie and her older…[Read more]

First of all, cool profile picture! Spider-Man is the best!
Second, you aren’t Team Captain America😱?? Noooo!! Actually, in the last movie, I felt so let down that he was an old man. It didn’t seem right. Captain America can never be an old man! It is weird he went to live in another time, but I am kind of glad because he really didn’t belong…[Read more]

Hobbitchild replied to the topic What piece of writing advice changed the way you write the most? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 2 months ago
Probably not using too many “…”s. I used those a LOT when I was writing a book based off my favorite television series (I basically wrote down almost everything they said, but they paused a lot, and I had a hard time ignoring those pauses in my writing).
Also, if you just write down your story, really following the train of your thought and not…[Read more]
