Maybe this last flashback was a dream? And when she’s dreaming about it, something happens that didn’t happen when she actually did it. She wakes up and wonders why her brain went to that when it clearly didn’t happen in her memories, then realized it was a dream. That sets up her being on the Imperial ship.

I actually haven’t worked with Allen much since that RP faded, since he’s not a main character in the predominant part of the story timeline I write in.
