Eh, yeah… 😛 I’m not very active around here anymore, but I still hop on when I’m tagged.
So will I, as long as that’s a fine arrangement with you @Catwing? *offers you bugs*
Yup, it is. 😉

@ariella-newheart Katie would rather be loved, Brant would rather be feared, Jasper would rather be loved, and Ogden would rather just continue his anonymous existence. Not being known is kind of the point of moving into the woods and becoming a grumpy hermit. 😛
Would your character rather face their greatest fear or have their worst secret told?

@Leumeister Don’t worry, I won’t forget to comment. 😉 Weelll… @Catwing, you have a blog, right? Would it be too much trouble for us to do some sort of email address exchange through your contact page? Like, we both contact you through your blog, and then you’ll have our addresses and can send a three-way email connecting us, so we’ll both have…[Read more]

Writing is an “alone-y” sort of thing. We sit in our caves, or corners, or hidey holes, and turn ideas into worlds and people. We may be surrounded by make-believe characters, but if an innocent bystander were to peek into our writing spaces, they would see a teenager on a laptop (or notebook. Or even phone, I won’t judge.). Just one teenager. But…[Read more]

NC Stokes replied to the topic Pen Names in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 6 months ago
@jenwriter17 I chose to use a pen name, simply because I don’t want my real name circulating around on the interweb. 🙂 I’ve never published anything, though. If I do, I will use my pen name. For now, I just use it on writerish websites like this one.

You know you’re a writer when you go into the backyard to wave a stick around aggressively, pretending to fight wolves and whatnot. One of my characters fights with a staff. It’s RESERCH. I’m being PROFESSIONAL. Not just having way too much fun. RESERCH, I tell you.

@alia Well, why did she kidnap the princess in the first place? Was she the one who put the sleeping spell on the royal family?

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Aquila in the forum Sci-Fi 6 years, 6 months ago
@Leumeister Me! As long as there’s no urgent time crunch, because life is rather full right now, I’d love to. Cool worldbuilding, too. It mostly went over my head, but still. XD

@ingridrd Hello! I finished reading Substitute Wednesday, but I’m just now giving you the critiques. Oops. Because I can’t make comments, I just typed up my critiques. Please forgive me if I sound harsh. I tried to critique it like a book I didn’t know the author of and didn’t know anything about.
Pg 22 –waist not waste
Pg 24 –up to you if yo…[Read more] -

@jenwriter17 I’ll pray for you. I think a lot of people can relate to not being happy with how they look. :/ It definitely can get on one’s nerves. *cough*feelya*cough*
@seekjustice I’m glad to hear it!

@jenwriter17 *DISCLAIMER* I may not have been the one to call for this, because I’m not a big superhero person. I’ll try to be helpful though. *END OF DISCLAIMER. HAVE A NICE DAY*
My biggest advice would to work on all the villain’s motivations and make them human. I think you’ve got the opportunity to give Kaylee adversaries that will challenge…[Read more]

Sorry this is such a late response! I was in Tennessee for a week with limited internet access. Anyway, THANK YOU so very much for your comments and taking the time to read my story! And you were most definitely not too harsh. I needed some critical feedback. 🙂 Thanks again!
Glad to be of service! I enjoyed reading it.
