Thank you for sharing that. I love Northanger Abbey. It seems very under appreciated compared to her other books.

In case someone needs some encouragement, or at least a good laugh; I am reading Northanger Abbey, Jane Austen’s most light hearted work, and I just found her first rant on the true value of novels. Personally, I feel this rant is particularly applicable to the whimsical, fantastic, and perhaps even childish stories among us.
