Also, that character in the background with more knives than words, that is the first to react to a threat, but the least likely to comment on it. Nope, he’s an MC. But it’s a three-way POV, so there are two other MCs.

He’s also an interesting character because of his job…. so he has that going for him.

I know poor Aelic. This is my fourth time though that scene as a draft, (read it several times just for fun) and it still gets me. Ugh.
