Um… Who’s your main character(s), what’s their struggle, how do you think they will grow, and how do you plan to make your WIP wholesome/lasting.
Ok, a few random questions…
Do you have important/new animals in any WIP?

I dreamed of a song-I heard it sung;
In the ear of my soul its strange notes rung.
What were its words I could not tell,
Only the voice I heard right well,
A voice with a wild melodious cry Reaching and longing afar and high. Sorrowful triumph, and hopeful strife, Gainful death, and new-born life…

George MacDonald was a Scottish author in the mid-late 1800s. He wrote some fantasy (The Light Princess for example). His fantasy is unique in its beautiful reflection of Christian morals/themes (it’s in there deep), and he was a major influencer in C. S. Lewis’ work. He also wrote some, what do you call it, in-our-world-fiction (Sir…[Read more]

The question is, if I tag someone am I apparently forcing a response? (Ok, I get timid at times.)

Sorry. By the way, if I ever forget to tag someone, don’t hesitate to pop on anyway. I’m still getting used to using the forum.

Wasn’t it? And it’s good to end a series before it gets fizled out. He ends it with “Hey, there’s more coming, it’ll be better than what’s here, but that’s a new epoch. Let’s go and have our own adventures.”
And I love the George MacDonald quote as the epigraph. It’s so perfect.
Plus,(sorry this has been a bit of a ramble) if…[Read more]

Update
Ok, I read the rest of the book. Yes, I still love it.
Maybe he does like fan fiction. All I know is that his series is one of the few that have prompted me to write fan fiction. My twin sister and I wrote a sort of extra epilogue using what we consider foreshadowing in the books. We’re still revising it, but I’m fairly…[Read more]

My typing improved! Ok, that isn’t a nice, deep thinking one one, but it’s true. My spelling and typing have improved* immensely.
Also, writing is teaching me to harness* my imagination. Instead of rambling from character sketch to character sketch, I’m learning to brainstorm ideas and create storylines with meaning behind them.…[Read more]

Hi, I’m sorry I’m so late in responding. I saw your post fairly soon, but somehow haven’t replied. *Shrugs* (hard to explain, life is, well life.)
Anyway, your creature sounds pretty astounding. I personally love cats, sooo… (And don’t you love the word Humanoid? It’s not my usual type of word, but…)
And I like how you made a name…[Read more]

Those are great, I especially like the first and last one. I second Lydia about Mejia.
Hmm. Did you like what you read of Archer’s Cup? I will admit it wasn’t my favorite, but it’s hard to not have a book of less quality in a series. And his books are SO good. They’ve done what only two other books have, and to a greater…[Read more]

Hi, everyone! It’s me again, and I have a question/whatsyoumaycallit. And yes, you can totally ignore this post if you want, I don’t want to hog anything.
Ok, so I know some of us have created animals for our books, whether they’re real, a bit imagined, or wildly different. (I’m one of those) So, I wanted to ask, what is your favorite critter of…[Read more]

I know, right? Una is a perfect example of a weak-yet-strong character. I can’t tell how many times I’ve imagined Walter coming back, I mean, wouldn’t it be a perfect story of healing for him to find beauty in life again?
A funny thing about “Goldie”. We have a cat who is Dr Jekyll-Mr Hyde all over again as well, so Jasper gets…[Read more]

First, I’m sorry life’s crazy right now. And Covid can be hard to recover from, I know from experience. I don’t have amazing words of wisdom, but I’ll give what I can.
Make sure to take time for studying His Word and prayer. I know it can be hard, but everything usually goes better after time alone with God.
Get enough rest. I know, I know,…[Read more]

Oh no! What did I get myself into? 😉 Ok, Fort Apache is an old Western set in southwest Texas.
Our familyused to watch it and its sequel a lot.We kids liked it better than the sequel, because it had a funny scene with a group of children, while our mother liked the sequel better because it had a better plot, and sweet, thoughtful…[Read more] -

I was ALWAYS into history, (we were given history books to read as story books)it was just a few years ago that I got into historical accuracy.

Ok, let’s see…
The American Girl Stories: they were meant for a young audience, and I see them as such. I still like them, they’re just….
Little One, Maid of Israel: Biblical fiction taken flight. Sweet story, not satisfied with the ending.
But honestly, it’s been a while since I reread anything beyond classics like Northanger Abbey and The…[Read more]
