@joy-caroline Your wip sounds amazing! All the best with it! 😀 i love those kinds of stories, those types of characters. i have a soft spot for them,
Wow, I haven’t been on KP since October! so much happened since then lol. I finished the last draft of my novel on New Years Eve, 30 minutes before midnight, thus fulfilling my one goal of the year…[Read more]

Elfwing replied to the topic My Series Keeps Growing! in the forum Fantasy 2 years, 10 months ago
@godlyfantasy12 well that happened to me in a way. My short story turned into a long novel that was about the length of the lotr trilogy but then i had to rework the whole thing because the plot took a twist, those charries are rebels, but anyways, no yeah i never stuck to my plan of 6 book series. its 11 and a half rough drafts and i’m still not…[Read more]

@faith-q So this is personal thoughts, as well as stuff drawn from advice from my awesome dad who’s super good at explaining these things XD I can’t promise my version will be very coherent as I’m exhausted, but here goes XD

Respect and obey are two very, very different things.

@trahia-the-minstrel you mean what I mainly write?? I have been making it for the reason C. S. Lewis once said; The world does not need more Christian literature. What the world needs is more Christians writing good literature.” if I can make a good book to be enjoyed by all while keeping the values of the Scriptures enough to be recognized, I am…[Read more]

Elfwing replied to the topic What's an unexpected benefit you got from writing? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
@kathleenramm I would say it has done similar things for me.
I can read people well and figure them out pretty quick, or so I’m told. I evaluate and if someone asked me to describe I can and I’m usually correct. The problem with that, is, among other things, that if I’m not careful I can get cocky, and start thinking I see things that aren’t…[Read more]

Elfwing replied to the topic What's a book that hasn't aged well for you? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
@kathleenramm hahaha just remembered that XD very true.
When it changed for me was when I really started reading on mythology and history, then seeing how different the cultures are and the myths and legends of each, so it was very jarring to have it all thrown in a world at the same time. I love the humor of his stories and he had an amazing…[Read more]

ok, I’ll say it. *winces

Thanks! I am glad you like it! I try to put lots of friendships in my stories because I am a sucker for good loyal friendships and tragic heartbreaks and I don’t like writing romance much…

@abigail-m Thanks so much!!! I’m so excited I did it! I don’t have a big audience, but just posting stuff for people to read has skyrocketed my confidence and I feel more relaxed than I ever have! I am no longer scared out of my skin of sharing things and even being around people in general isn’t so scary.

Elfwing replied to the topic What aspect of writing have you grown most with as a writer? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
@kathleenramm I have improved most in writing what I am wanting to portray.
What I mean is I actually complete the scenes for people to read. I sometimes forget readers are book readers, not mind readers! XD
I’ve definitely improved in fleshing charries out, or so people have told me.
