Sorry I’ve been so terrible at being on the forum!
@kathleenramm The premise of my story is a little shaky right now, but it’s about a boy who gets thrown back in time (from the future to now) and who has to find his way home (at the most basic level).
@devastate-lasting I wish I had tips to give you… I’m just a baby sci-fi writer myself. …[Read more]

Hey everyone! Keilah here. I’m currently worldbuilding on a dystopian/sci-fi/fantasy world, and I’d like your feedback on it!
The premise I have so far (for the first book anyway, I might make it a series):
Torrent Starcatcher has had a hard life.
She was born into a universe in turmoil; the violent dictator Indy has been in control since before…

Hey y’all!! I thought I’d start something new on here! I figured maybe it’d be a good idea to try (emphasis on TRY) and everyday or at least weekly to post a small quote, picture, or paragraph of encouragement or something that will make us smile! I’ll call them Daily Dewdrops!
the time will kinda be wonky and again it’s gonna kinda be whenever…[Read more]

Ugh, I could go on forever with characters too, haha.
Out of all the character you’ve created, do you have one you know the best?
Yo, I’m not even surprised that people always compliment you on your pros. It’s one of a kind.
Was pros something that came naturally to you or did you have to work on…[Read more]

Kathleen replied to the topic What's the strangest book you've ever read? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 1 month ago
Haha, yeah, I can relate. But the stranger the story the more fun it is to write right?
Do you have a favorite of all the strange stories you’ve written?
That does sound like an really strange, but interesting book, haha.
My siblings and I often joke about certain things we have, do, or say that could be taken way out…[Read more]

@sparrowhawke That actually sounds cool–and funny!
@devastate-lasting My dad read Fahrenheit 451 once. I haven’t read it, though. I didn’t think it’d be that interesting.

@madelyn Thank you!! Honestly I think my biggest problem is turning off my inner editor, since because I listen to it, I end up adding things that I think would sound good from an editing perspective but that creatively fall flat and sound pretty boring when compared to the fun and unexpected things I’d been writing before. I’ll be sure to keep…[Read more]

Hello, everyone! I wanted to ask for some advice about a problem I have with a short story. Right now, I mostly do short stories, but this has been a big problem for me with novels as well.
So, here’s the problem: I’ll usually start a story with a clear idea of the direction it’s taking, the feeling I want the story to have. I’ll follow that…[Read more]

Kathleen replied to the topic Have you ever written a story with multiple POV? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 2 months ago
Yeah, I really like how adding multiple POV you can explore different avenues of the story while adding a new flavor to the narrative.
What the most POV you’ve ever had in one story?
It’s really cool how you split up POV with your sister like that! My siblings and I might do that in the future, but right now…[Read more]

And comments are up too so I’d love to see y’all there and commenting ya know?
@elfwing @mkfairygirl @devastate-lasting
Oof. I know what that’s like. It’s so rare for a series to be good the whole way through.
That sounds like a really interesting series! But yeah, I get what you mean by it getting tricky with Christian Theology and stuff. Like you don’t want people to have the wrong idea of the biblical characters in the story, but…[Read more]
