I’m a little late to this, but I think this is the last sentence I wrote:
Evie sighed louder than necessary. “Remind me why I’m here again…”
You said without context, didn’t you? XD
Oh my goodness, everybody has such amazing lines! We should all post our ‘last lines’ here at the end of every writing day:)

Haha, well, I certainly had to read it very slowly because it was hard to wrap my head around XD Honestly, it makes me even more curious about this novel now, and you’ve possibly just persuaded me to buy it this summer 😉 Aww, you have a dog??? *melts* Sorry, but I just think dogs are SO cute!! What’s his name? 😀 Oh, me too! I’m defin…[Read more]

@abigail-m Hey!
Not really sure, but I always fall in love with the side characters lol
I don’t think I’ve ever really thought of that, maybe like an outside fantasy landscape XD

Day after day thinking about you
Wondering if this haunts you too
Do you care as much as I do?
Or am I just another face?
Waiting to see you again
Knowing any time could be the end
If you move on what would I do?
Nothing left to hold on to
Thoughts racing as I try to fall asleep
Are you lying awake thinking about me?
Or are you sleeping…[Read more] -

Well, technically the last thing I wrote was a poem and the last sentence for that is:
There is no point
To hoping
To wanting
But all I can do is wish.but before that, last sentence in an actual story: What else does he possibly need?

@kathleenramm Ooooh what a fun dare!!! I love your sentence, btw:D
Here’s mine (I think; my WIP is so out-of-order that it’s difficult to really tell which sentence I wrote last 🙃)
“What? Speak up, honey, I can’t hear a thing you’re saying.”

@gracie-j Ugh, this is such a relatable struggle (and I’m totally going to be stealing everyone’s advice:D)
I’m in the middle of moving at the moment, so pardon me if my reply doesn’t make sense, but the tip that’s helped me the most is something a screenwriting prof. once told me: give your draft permission to be bad.
Now, I haven’t met…[Read more]

Hmm… honestly, this is a question that I often ask myself as well, because I’m certainly no Master of Drafting and am always trying to wrap my head around it too. However, I’d be happy to give you some advice on my personal strategy! *rubs hands together* Let’s hope this makes some form of sense:)
#1 How do you keep your focus on…[Read more]

@iluvhim18 Oooh royalty!! My favorite:D
Hmm, since she wouldn’t abdicate… what if she was back in the vicinity of your other characters doing royalty-related things? Like, she’s essentially on a business trip, or she needs something from their country and thus has an excuse to be there. Does that make sense?

Oooh, oooh, *raises hand* COUNT ME IN for this thread!!! (Thank you for tagging me, by the way 🙂 ) First off, not only do I adore writing romance, but I also adore proposals because that’s when all of the brewing romance finally comes together for that huge, heartwarming moment, right? Right. Unfortunately for me, the two characters i…[Read more]

@hallie-jean Nice! No, actually. I’ve heard of them, but haven’t read them yet.
Hmm…that is a hard question!! Well, I really like Rupert from Ashtown Burials and Padra from Mistmantle, and Fitz and Keefe from KotLCs!
And as far as my characters go prob Jaylin from my book and Estella from my current short story.
Hbu?
@lydia-s Oh okay.…[Read more]

@lydia-s Yes, such a beautiful topic!! Though lololol, it made me realize that I have no idea how, when, or if my two engaged characters experience a proposal. I might have to give writing that scene a whirl…
I do have IRL experience with the subject but that’s another matter entirelyAnyway, what’s your favorite proposal scene that you’ve…[Read more]

@elfwing Oh this is such a good topic! Tears can be so difficult to write, for sure.
I don’t necessarily have a ton to add (Lydia and JC have covered the topic amazingly), though I will say that I rarely if ever read a guy character crying as wimpy–it can honestly be quite refreshing to see one cry, because it’s both strangely unusual to find i…[Read more]

@lydia-s Ah, I see, I see. Well, nevertheless my congratulations still stand–finishing half of high school is no easy feat! And thank you!!! It’s all been very exciting 😀
That’s an excellent question! It really varied from class to class. Like, in my Early American Lit class we read books like Walden, Last of the Mohicans, House of Seven G…[Read more]

@ariel-f Hello Ariel!! Welcome to Kingdom Pen! I’m Elizabeth:D
Your WIP sounds so cool!!! How long have you had the idea for it?
I saw that you like listening to Christian music (for King and Country is an excellent choice, btw). Have you heard of Tenth Avenue North?
Question for you: what’s your favorite beverage? (Tea, coffee, lemonade,…[Read more]
