@supermonkey42 Oh, and I realize that it’s going to be your story, so don’t feel like you have to do exactly what my original idea was. That was just a prompt, and I won’t mind if you decide you need to change things to fit your own style. 🙂

@supermonkey42 Ohhh, I see. 😀 Thanks!!! But now prepare for multiple questions on the progress of the story…unless you decide not to write it! 🙂 😀 (I’m a very impatient person.)

@sam-kowal That was an, um, interesting poem? 😀 Thanks for the summary; it is very kind of you to do that instead of forcefully commanding me to read the book like Ethryndal was trying to do… 🙂 😀
Innocence does not vindicate you.
I actually LOVE that! It should be used in a story. The villain could say it, couldn’t he? It’…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 Great. 🙂 But…you didn’t say whether you’d let me read it. Or do you not like other people reading your stuff?

@kate-flournoy Oh, oh! Please don’t tell me you’re turning it back into fantasy after all my hard work to the contrary! 😮
It’s very interesting, though. I guess you people can’t survive without fantasy, can you? 😀

@bekreations Hello again! I see you found your way over here. 😀
Being eighteen isn’t all that scary, really. I’ve been trying it for nearly a year, and have decided I quite like it. 🙂
I love historical fiction, and I agree that Henty is great. Have you read many of his books? My favorites by him are The Tiger of Mysore and In the Reign of…[Read more]

I have to go now, too. I’ll be back (hopefully) in a little over an hour.

@seekjustice Okay! Hope to see you tonight/afternoon! 🙂

@seekjustice Haha 😀 😀
I’m trying to put the finishing touches on a poem. I’ll probably be called away for dinner in a few minutes, but will you be writing in about an hour or two?

@seekjustice Does that mean you’re helping him practice, or just in the same room with him practicing so it’s distracting you from writing?

Hey anyone? I’m writing for a little bit.
@dekreel @catwing @jenwriter17 (even though it’s not the weekend yet 🙂 ) @seekjustice (if it’s not too early in the morning) @ingridrd @anyone-else

@supermonkey42Â Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t want to be in his shoes!
Cool! But you’d actually be willing to write something that wasn’t fantasy? Or… *whispers in horror* …would you turn this pet idea of mine into fantasy? 😀
I think you’d probably do better with a male protagonist than I would. 🙂 If you do end up doing it, I’m going to c…[Read more]

@ethryndal Hey, it worked! You are no longer threatening @sam-kowal but are simply requesting he appear and make a speech! 😀
Counter attack: My favorite was The Horse and His Boy because that one seemed the most realistic to me, with less magic. If you had been on here lately and met me you would know that I don’t like fantasy much. *re…[Read more]

@ethryndal *diverts attack* I’ve never finished Narnia! (I haven’t read the last book in the series.)
Actually, I think @sam-kowal was saying he hadn’t read the Wingfeather series, but had read Narnia. 😀

@ariel-ashira My siblings and I quote little parts of S&S shows as jokes sometimes. We have most of the soundtracks, and one of our favorites from Miracle of Christmas is when Mary and Joseph are going to sleep and she says “See you when the sun rises!” and then laughs a really funny sounding laugh. That gets quoted sometimes at night. 😀 Al…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira Oh, the problem of too many unfinished stories! 😀 I can’t count how many stories I want to write, but have decided to hold off in order that I can try to finish the ones I’ve already started!
My family’s been going to S&S Theater since I was probably about five years old. I remember watching the Miracle of Christmas back the…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira Hello and welcome!!!! I’m so excited that there’s another person here who writes historical fiction! (Most people around here write fantasy, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.) His-fic is my favorite genre, thought I write a lot of contemporary realistic fiction as well. Do you ever write contemporary, or just historical fiction?
I lik…[Read more]

@seekjustice I actually do like bouncy. I just don’t quite like the musical interpretation of a few of the songs, which makes them sound rough and broken. My favorite song would probably be King of New York. For a good New York accent I’d recommend Peter Falk. He’s an American comedic character actor who was actually born in New York. I have…[Read more]
