Keilah H. replied to the topic What's the harshest critique you've ever received about your writing? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years ago
The worst true criticism I remember was when my friend told me the characters from my dystopian fiction were way too trusting of each other. It didn’t actually hurt that much, I was just kind of shocked at first. Then I realized, she was telling the truth. So that prompted me to rewrite it! It still needs tons of work, but if it hadn’t been for…[Read more]

@scripter-of-kingdoms Awesome! It sounds really cool. And from the drawing I can see his personality is like what you described.

@scripter-of-kingdoms Cool! What’s it about? (And the fact you called him a grumpy burrito is plain hilarious.)

Hmmm….I’ll stick with the ones from one of my recent fanfics. My three mcs are Crossfire (the main character), Feathertail (his mother), Echopelt (his mentor and sorta adoptive father).
I’d probably go to brunch with Feathertail. Just because. She’s a fascinating character. She’d probably tell me all her problems, and then I’d have to keep the…[Read more]

@elfwing That wasn’t extreme! It was great! (yeah, a lot of my stories have “weird” characters too, but they’re usually more of the crazy weird kind). And thank you!

People said that I should use tree sap instead of tar and feathers.
Even though it was a fictional comedy, and I was like 8.
I’m still salty.

@daisy-torres Thank you! Yeah, I’m on the autism spectrum myself, so I wanted to help show kids that different isn’t bad.

I have three! They’re just picture books, not huge novels or anything, but I enjoyed writing them! They’re about Rexy, a dinosaur with a speech problem, and the adventures he has. I wrote them for kids with special needs.

Just set up another Gmail account, and use it when you don’t people knowing your information. It will ask for your birthday and name, but just don’t put in you real birthday date and use an alias. It can come in handy when a store asks for your email, but you don’t want them flooding your inbox with advertisements.

Mostly what I like to do is combine animals (especially dragons) with people. This is the main character of the short story I posted above, dragon wings and tail and all. (and although he is a cyborg, he has a human face underneath his helmet.)

@scripter-of-kingdoms That’s all right. I LOVE dragons and reptiles, but not everyone does. Although I do agree, the first Wings of Fire books were good. I don’t like the newer ones as much (until they added a dragon who can talk to humans), but I enjoyed the first five.

@scripter-of-kingdoms Do you like dragons and that kind of thing?
