(eh… how about once we hit eight or so letters, we evaluate if it works as a word, and evaluate each time we add a letter, until we agree to stop.)

I mean, a google doc would be neater, because we could sort everything into sections and state things more concisely, but I’m good with whatever.

Maybe we should create a google doc or something so that we can record this information concisely. Otherwise we might end up sifting through pages to find something.

Yes! Maybe put a heading in bold to indicate the topic and then if you’re following up on what someone else said, quote them?

Okay. You ever get that feeling where you want to grab your laptop and delete everything you’ve ever written and chuck it across the room?
yeah. That’s the mood I’m in.
I got an email today from a mentor that read my writing. He gives good advice…but often leaves me with a feeling of hopelessness for my WIP. Right…[Read more]

I know bits and pieces. Tolkien does a lot of tales of the mortal man and fair elf maiden in the history of Middle Earth, so I get them mixed up, but I know that much.
It’s sooo good, and one of the few times Silmarillion characters actually get a happy ending. And even then, it’s depressing.
Interesting! So they’re essentially p…

I do agree there is something powerful about the laying on of hands, and I won’t argue with you on that. And certainly, if someone is being ordained or brought into a role of leadership, I think the laying on of hands is important. I do think there is something powerful about a leader laying their hands on someone else and praying…[Read more]

acrane’s sword
That is a cool sword.
I’m a little late, but yeah, swords do seem to be a little overrated. Personally, I really like bows and small knives that you can throw.

I think I understand what you’re saying. I’d say that authority is still active- I think there was a period of time where it wasn’t as commonly seen in the church, or perhaps inactive altogether (I’d have to do more of an in-depth study on church history to say for sure) but I definitely still see it around me today. Just as with…[Read more]

If I remember correctly, that only happened three times in the history of Middle Earth, actually, although I can only remember two.
Just had to comment, lol, sorry!

Authority as in God designating specific roles, like the Pope for lack of a better example, or authority in the terms of authority God gives believers over satan and his demons?
In both cases, I think the question is not necessarily “Is authority Biblical?” but rather “How far does authority extend and what is our proper…[Read more]

What are some good reasons to kill MCs? I have to kill two of them in this one scene because if I don’t, the only option is to use a Deus ex machina, or throw out the scene.
Basically, two characters are…[Read more]

I haven’t read the Silmarillion, but I know the majority of the stories, and it’s a very different kind of dark and cynical, but feel free to look into it, I still recommend the first to anyone.

You probably haven’t heard much about it because you won’t see it in the major denominations. From what I’ve seen, it’s primarily in the nondenominational churches, and it’s been something that has been brought back more in the past 50 to 70 years. There are a number of Christians who don’t believe the roles of the apostle and…[Read more]

Oh wow! Yeah, I’d be terrified too lol!
I’ve been scared ever since I submitted it-so like Sunday!
WHAAAT?? That’s AWSOEM, girl!
Awesome*
Awww thanks! Hopefully it gets published….I’ll let you guys know if it gets accepted.
Plz do!
Thats really cool!!! 😆
Thanks!
That’s awesome! I hope they accept it! I’ll have to try it out for myself. Do you know of any perks if you do get something published? I can’t find anything about it.
What do you man by perks?
I hope they accept it too! I got an email saying they are reviewing it. But haven’t heard anything other than that. *Me checking my email every two hours* ***IT’S THREE PAGES!! HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO REVIEW THREE PAGES????***
I’m stressed rn, lol
I just hope they don’t hate it….
Just perks as in how much publicity does it get you, and are there any other inceptives, or just bragging rights?
Well, how active the KP staff is seems to vary. Kathleen for example is usually busy with work, and she’s at least one of the higher ups. I’m sure they’ll get around to it eventually, and I can guarantee that they aren’t going to hate…[Read more]
I’m not sure about publicity. I never really thought about what’s in it for me, I guess I just wanted to see if I could be good enough to get it on the website, XD
Yeah, I know Kathleen’s probably really busy…it’s just so stressful waiting! Thank you 🙂 I hope you’re right…XD
Alright, well, I’ve followed your footsteps and have submitted my own short story. If we’re lucky, we may see both of them put up!
OH! I forgot to respond! That’s so cool! Have you heard anything?
