@filewriterbase13x That’s a nice start to a story. Here’s my honest critique.
1) I would almost say it’s too detailed. Let me explain: in chapter 1 there’s a lot of backstory and explaining of the MC’s past. To me it kind of bogged down the story. I would suggest telling some of it but saving other parts for later. It would also increase…[Read more]

@filewriterbase13x So, you “truly lost your mind,” you might say. 😉 Nice.

@catwing Oh, and this is actually the seventh part, so do you mind if I call it that on the Compendium? 🙂

@catwing Wow. Nice twist, having your own characters enter the Kingdom of Pen.
It was just supposed to be a fun Christmas present for everyone, but now it’s chaos.
Chaos, yes, but funny, unique, kapeefer-level chaos. 😉 That’s why it’s so fun.

I love Daeus’s Turtles!
Well, sort of left. In reality, he walked about ten feet and opened up his book again. I watched as the turtles began to slowly follow.
😀 😀
My family thinks I’m crazy. My sister says, “What are you laughing about?” and I say, “Daeus’s turtles,” and she’s like, “Oh. Okay….”

@daeus Wow. You just clarified the subject a lot for me.
I thank thee, O wise king of the KeePers, for imparting thy knowledge upon thy humble servants.

@dekreel I agree with @sam-kowal on the motives of a bully.
For a not-cliched bully, here are some ideas:
- The bully is actually very intelligent and uses that fact to bully others (maybe his parents think he should stop reading and such all the time and learn how to do something “useful” instead, so he bullies less intelligent kids to make him…

@filewriterbase13x You can use me if you wish (I’ve been mentioned before as a droid), but by all means you don’t have to.
I’m sure your story will be great!

@celticcailin Hi! I love music, but I don’t write lyrics (I play cajon.)
I think @dekreel , @sam-kowal , and @alia write songs, though. (Tell me if I’m wrong, guys!)
Good luck on your music!

Ben Powell replied to the topic Outlining – Love It or Hate It? in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 7 months ago
@waterlily Nope. I don’t outline before I start. The most I ever do is write a couple of ideas for the next two or three scenes and have a general idea of how the story is probably going to end.
Sometimes it doesn’t turn out the best, but, hey, that’s what editing is for. 🙂

Sure!
I mean, there are two ongoing series at the moment (if @catwing is still writing A Catwing Christmas), so you could wait for one of those to end if you want, but there’s always room for more. 🙂
The only thing I would recommend is making sure your story is fairly original. As long as the stories are fresh, they shouldn’t get old.
Good luck! 😉 -

@skye That’s a good list of authors. 🙂
😀 Actually, yes, BTD is where my username originally came from. I started using it years ago and it’s just kinda stuck. I’m assuming you’ve played the game, because you’re the first one to ask that.

@skye Welcome to KP!
It’s cool that you write medieval fantasy. I don’t see too much of that. 🙂
Any favorite authors?

Such contented joy…it brings a smile to my face. Wonderful ending, @dekreel . Now I’m feeling sentimental. 🙂
May I just say: KP is awesome.
Thanks for the stories, and we’ll see you in a few months.
And, yes, HE IS RISEN INDEED!!

@dekreel Oh, and about my coloring: I’ve been mentioned as a blue-and-white droid in a couple of stories, but my ideal color would be orange…
Maybe I’ll change my profile pic…
