(I don’t know if this is where I should put this, but here goes) Out of curiosity, do you think KP would publish a series of short stories?

Not yet, but I was able to do some work on Ice (my short story) on Sunday.

I totally understand not getting around to writing, school can definitely be busy and time-consuming, but technically this is one of the jobs God has given we students to do and is a high priority.

Hmm… I’ve never heard of One Story, is it a Christian-based magazine? I’ve actually not really looked into publishing-type things, I’m still kind of on the fence about that. Any ideas for starting research on publishing? I’ve read articles from KP and SE but that’s about it.

I have heard that faked deaths are a no-go if at all possible, but I really want Jade to assume Fabian is dead by his hand. Thanks for pointing those methods out!

Yes, my dog is named after Scout from the book, and I wanted a fake e-mail for writing websites and such so my personal account wouldn’t be bombarded, and my Dad had to do it and he used Scout’s name, so I just decided to let it be my username and contact photo on here.

I did like how the original last sentence sounded, but I didn’t feel like it was something Jade would say or think, I mean, he is, at the end of this, in worse grief and now paired with remorse. It’s strange, I am finding out he’s immoral but also moral, and it’s an odd mix.

Your WIP sounds interesting! I haven’t read much as far as biblical fiction is concerned, only Ben Hur, which I loved, Twice Freed (a story about the slave Onesimus mentioned in the book Philemon) which i liked, and The Bronze Bow, which was ok.

I never really thought about Jade as a villain, he’s something like an anti-hero. I think that he’d probably be something like Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean except with all his mind present and less of an addiction to alcohol and the Black Pearl.

It IS hard to convey this sort of thing for me, too. Maybe for Ara you can show her dragging her feet about the quest, maybe even trying not to think about it? It depends on how she is wont to avoid difficulties.
