I’m Joy Caroline, and I just joined the forum! I’m excited to be here with you all.
To help you get to know me, I’m basically a teen writer with a passion for all things Jesus. I write Biblical fiction because my greatest desire is to help teens, including myself, to realize Bible figures were real, breathing people with feelings just like ours.
I am working on a novel right now, and my goal is to have the final draft and begin querying agents by the time I’m a senior in high school. My novel is called The Apostle’s Sister and it’s a retelling of St. Paul and his ministry, told through the eyes of his devoted younger sister.
When I’m not working on my novel, I love to blog on my site. I also love to read. My favorite fiction books are To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and the Two from Galilee trilogy by Marjorie Holmes.

This is true! So how has writing/editing in The Apostle’s Sister going today? I got to read a little bit more in the first chapter. Sadly I was hoping to have completed it but my day got away from me.God gives His hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.

Well, after reading through my entire first draft I have a huge list of stuff to fix, haha. I’m also brainstorming that plot problem, so thanks a lot for your help! I have so many more ideas now. I’m honestly really eager to get to editing the second chapter. And absolutely no worries!

Yeah, definitely agreed. Thank goodness the first draft is not supposed to be perfect and we’re allowed to edit!
