@Hannah-C Oops, I meant Counted Worthy. I should have clarified that. 🙂 Wattpad sounds neat; I’ll ask my parents to check it out for me. Thanks for explaining it!

Thanks everyone! I don’t have a Kindle, though if I ever get one I will be sure to look. What exactly is Wattpad? Is it an app?

I really want to read that book, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Our libraries don’t have it.

Oh dear, that’s a hard question. Hmm… I would probably pick plot structure, novel structure, characterization, or something like that. I don’t know if I could choose between those, though. 🙂

Pray about it, Hannah. Ask the Lord if it’s okay with Him. We can tell you what we think, but what you really want to know is what He thinks. Seek Him, and ask Him to show you if that’s something He wants you to do, or not. And if you’re getting a check/ feeling unsettled about doing it, don’t ignore that.

Welcome, Hannah! It’s so great to meet other writers who are excited about writing for Jesus! Good for you. 🙂
Useful Tip 1: We just started a book discussion club under the Books forum, if you want to join in.
Useful Tip 2: If you do this : ) without the space, you get this 🙂 .
I thought I had more, but I can’t think of anything else right now…

@Hannah-C So we may now refer to you as Dutchess Razzmatazz?

@Anna-Brie – Thanks for the summary! That sounds really interesting; I’ll have to find it again and read it.
I’ve read Animal Farm. (It’s free on iBooks, to whom it may concern.) I was very intrigued with the allegorical aspect of it; I want to be able to write like that, so I’m looking forward to the discussion. Good pick, Daeus!

I vote accordingly:
1. Chasing Vermeer
2. Fiddler’s Gun
3. Count of Monte Cristo@Bluejay– What is The Witch of Blackbird Pond about? I’ve always avoided it because of the title.

The only book I can think of right now is The Count of Monte Cristo. I haven’t read it yet, but I really really want to.

@Daeus — Ooh, I’d love to be part of this! Only thing is, I won’t be able to participate in any of the discussions on fantasy-type books, but if that’s okay… I’ll participate in as many others as I can to make up for it. 🙂

Sarah Hoven replied to the topic Newsflash: Missing Cat, but how did it escape? in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 10 years ago
Some houses have little swinging cat doors as part of the back door. You could have the family forget to latch it, or maybe, if they just moved in, they are unaware that the door exists.
Does that help?

@Hannah-Olsen — Kidnapped is a fun book. I should read it again sometime… Are you still involved in mission work? You said you’ve been to China. Is China still hostile to Christians?

Welcome to the forum, Hannah!
Wow, you’ve traveled a lot. What was it like? Which country was your favorite?
Historical fiction is my favorite genre, too. Which Robert Louis Stevenson novel is your favorite? -
Sarah Hoven replied to the topic Writer's Corner in the forum General Writing Discussions 10 years ago
Speaking of pictures, @bluejay, you look like a movie star. Is that from Beyond the Mask?
