@ariel-ashira I don’t like darkness, but I also believe there is a place for darkness in stories as long as there is light alongside it to show the right way. Without light no one would realize when they are in darkness. In the same way a story without any darkness is too fluffy and there’s no point in it. I just think Josiah has gone a bit to…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira Wow, that’s an amazing poem! I love it!!!
@catwing *hides* when I promised to get it done “as soon as possible” I forgot that we would be out of state all weekend. We’re visiting some friends, but we’re staying at a hotel near them, so basically I’m only able to be on my computer at the hotel before 9:00 a.m. or after 11:00 p…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Well, as you know, I use my real name on my books…or did you know that? 😛 There was never really any question about that with my parents, since it’s a business for me, and for business everyone uses their real name, obviously. (Unless you’re an actor, in which case you can change your name to whatever fancy name you want.)

@ariel-ashira I’d let you have a look at the machine, but I just sent Bobert in it to Australia. He wants to check on @seekjustice and make sure she’s okay after all those threats @alia made. 😀 Maybe when he gets back you can have a tour. Though I think it’s actually @dekreel who should be in charge of the time machine since she has studied ti…[Read more]

@alia This is a very cool idea. As you know, I don’t read fantasy, but it does sound very interesting, and I like retellings.
I didn’t respond at first because I couldn’t think of anything, but I just had a really funny idea, and thought I’d tell you. 😉 I don’t know that you’d actually be able to use it, but it does mix up a couple of fa…[Read more]

@alia *holds out time machine* If you want to find our Queen you’ll have to use this. *hides time machine* But as the Sheriff I suppose my job is to protect the Queen, so you’ll never get the time machine from me.
*whispers* I think @daughteroftheking might be able to get you to the future since she has a starship, (which causes me to be…[Read more]

@alia Don’t worry, I’m having trouble right now too, since I’m in the car and have to use my bluetooth on my phone to connect to my computer in order to get online. So after this post I might not be on for several more hours. I’ll probably be on for at least a little bit tonight, but I’m not certain of that either.
Hm, that’s a good point. Ma…[Read more]

@valtmy Welcome back to the war zone! 😛 Actually, war hasn’t officially been declared yet because I have been slacking on writing the declaration of war. So as soon as I get that written and @sam-kowal presents it to Story Embers the war will be on. I was going to try and finish it yesterday, but I forgot that we were about to go out of st…[Read more]

@sam-kowal In light of that expression of your loyalty I have granted your request for access to the classified Kapeefer document. 😀
And in light of the fact that you provide cinnamon rolls, actually…
In all seriousness, I’m really glad you’re back.

@seekjustice No, not at all. Only similar in that one aspect, I think you both do a kind of “oi” instead of “i” sometimes. But not the same type of “oi” either. Anyway, my Irish accent is good and my Australian accent is bad, so they can’t be too similar! 😛
Oh, do other countries also just call it the “Southern” accent even though it’s the Am…[Read more]

@seekjustice I don’t know…I could do that, but the horribleness of my pronunciation would probably sound more like an insult to Australians than anything else. 😛
And don’t your i’s sometimes have the “oi” sound similar but not identical to the one the Irish use? (I have a really good Irish accent. It’s my best accent, probably, other than m…[Read more]

@seekjustice It took about four tries, but I think I finally nailed a completely fake and weird Aussie accent. 😛 HI, IMMA KAPEEFAH Till I’m ol’ and gray!
*raises glass* To our queen!! May she always live happily in the future, but deign someday to return to the past and visit us, her subjects.

@seekjustice @kaya-young @catwing Oh, wow, you guys! *blushes* Goodness! I don’t want to be president. 😮 I was actually going to nominate SeekJustice to be queen. First of all, she’s Australian, so she has the accent for the job. 😛 Second, she has a Babylonian Sabre and an Army of her own. Sounds like she’s fit for the job already. ;)…[Read more]

@alia @ariel-ashira I made a tentative partial list of those test questions, and put the link in the Writers’ Corner topic. You can check it out and add or erase questions as you see fit. 🙂
Ah yes, Ariel, you are my deputy! I forgot about that, since right after @dekreel suggested that she left us… 🙁 At least she’s back now! 🙂

@daughteroftheking If you spend a lot more time here than on SE, I think you’re okay. 😉 Are you a true Kapeefer? Would you ultimately choose KP over SE? From what you say, I think you would, and in that case, TILL WE’RE OLD AND GRAY!! 😛

@ariel-ashira @sam-kowal has generously offered to present the traitorous members of the newly-sprung town known as Story Embers with our Declaration of War. @dekreel I’d love for you to stay here. The serious writing can go to Story Embers, and we’ll just have a small community of friends here who write a bit and chat a lot. As Kaya puts it, we’ll bring our knitting needles and laptops to the small cafe called Writers’ Corner. 😀 If you read the pages of Writers’ Corner now, you’ll see that half of…[Read more]
