*Internally screaming* I LOOOOOOVE THOSE!!! I’m honestly not exaggerating in the least, those are so incredible (seriously, when this is published, I want a signed copy) I mean this is fantastic! It was nearly impossible to choose a favorite, but since I adore your trio so much, I have to choose the second:) I love how they all…[Read more]

Abigail.M. replied to the topic Merging My Novels? in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 8 months ago
(One last ps.) In the beginning, there is a strange fact about writing that when aiming for quality, shoot for quantity and it will eventually net both (one of the bizarre pearls of wisdom that I attained from NaNoWriMo).
And do not worry about the finished product or whether it’s perfect or even publishable, at least not in the…[Read more] -

That sounds awesome girl! I think combining your novels is a great idea, TAS and TA would be excellent in that format, in my opinion.
Now, this isn’t meant to be criticism or anything like that at all, and perhaps it doesn’t even apply to you. But with writing, the more time that passes, the more that you get older/gain more…[Read more] -
Abigail.M. replied to the topic Do you Listen to Music While Writing? in the forum Music 3 years, 8 months ago
Ah, this is a good topic! For myself, the most music I’ve ever listened to while writing was during NaNoWriMo (surviving November requires desperate measures). Looking back, I remember listening to a wide-ranging variety, from Mozart to fantasy/winter ambiance to Norwegian legends to contemporary Christian to Disney songs. But the…[Read more]

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I just finished reading the first two chapters and when I reached the end of the second chapter and it didn’t let me scroll down any further, it took a moment for the cruel reality to sink in that that was the end. I loved it so much! I usually prefer heroines to heroes, but Colin is just SO GOOD! I loved him so…[Read more]

Abigail.M. replied to the topic If you got to be a screen writer for a movie, what type of movie would it be? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 8 months ago
In a very informal/unofficial way, I do make mini-movies. The most recent being an animated sword move and a book trailer I made for my WIP (they didn’t turn out half bad, but nothing to brag about a whole lot XD ).
Anyway, back on topic… I think The Snow Warrior would make an excellent action film (or whatever pacing was used i…[Read more] -

I just remembered something else, (I don’t know if it helps or not), but KP has an excellent article called How To Write A Truly Tragic Death (And Avoid Cliches). And in it there’s also a video. I know you were asking about battles and I think that quite a few things in that article can indirectly offer advice on wars. The best…[Read more]

If you’re looking for books with rulers/armies/medieval government/battles/warriors/and knights/etc; the new york times bestselling Ranger’s Apprentice fits the description pretty adequately. I’ve only read one book so far, but it might be a series you may be interested in:)

I sure hope I’ll have some ideas next writing session:) But yes, outlining scenes visually helps give me different perspectives and it’s really fun:)
NP:D Your trio has been my star muses for illustrating for the past month (I hope you don’t mind my borrowing them XD ). I can’t wait to be able to post them all! 🙂 -

I’ll have to confess that I haven’t done much writing today. At least not traditional noveling. I have actually been working on a graphic novel outline of The Snow Warrior or at least trying to. I thought it might help my project to have some visual grounds to work with. So I’m mostly jotting down random scenes (mostly the fun…[Read more]
