I’d have to look back over all my words so far, but I know that the name ‘Thulac” has it unvoiced. I’m guessing it varies depending on the word, like in English.

    Ok cool!

Okay, that makes sense. Do you have any tips on what words I should create? So far, I’ve pretty much just been creating words as I’ve needed them, but do you have another…

Somehow I completely missed your progress on your conlang on here. December was really crazy for me, so I guess it makes sense, sorry😅

So you’ve already got a lot of words down, so that’s really cool! Quick question, how is ‘Th’ meant to be pronounced? Is it voiced, like ‘that’ or unvoiced, like ‘math’?

    So you’ve followed English’s rules…[Read more]

The problem is that for people who don’t consider the Bible entirely reliable, they could argue that anything they want is inaccurate. They already do that with His miracles.

True. At the same time though, I don’t find it unreasonable to have skepticism towards towards the accuracy of any historical writing, even biblical. The difference i…[Read more]

It bothers me so much that people say that, because if you understand the culture and tradition of the time and the language being used, it becomes obvious that He did.

Right, and many simply discredit the “I Am” because John is regarded as the least reliable book, but there’s many indirect claims to His divinity throughout the other…[Read more]

    *appears from nowhere*

I’ve wondered when you’d show up on here, I knew something was bound to ensnare your interest!

The flaw I see in that argument is the second premise. You have to accept some sort of multiverse theory where every possibility exists in some reality.  Furthermore, if the definition of “all powerful” includes being able…

So Alvin Plantinga’s Modal logic for God is essentially the modern ontological argument that many consider to be far more convincing than Anselm’s.

    Here’s the gist:

    1. It is possible that there exists an all powerful being that created the universe.

    2. If something is “possible”, then it does exist in at least one reality.

    3. An all…[Read more]

    Awesome!! Thanks! 😁

I’ll try to write my RP sometime soon.

  • @Jonas

    Okay, thanks! That definitely helps.

I think I’ll just drop her somewhere in the jungle

  • @jonas

Yeah, I think that would help, thanks!

I get most what is going on with the stones and the dragon I think, I suppose it’s mainly the setting that I’m unclear on. It’s one of the characters worlds right?

  • @everyone

Sooo, I’m still a little fuzzy as to what is going on in the RP, but in case it does start up again, this is the character I’d add.

    Nazyra

(If anyone on here knows Zyrin from the Character Castle, they’re from the same race)

Age: Around 19 by earth standards.

Description: Female. About average height. She has long wavy hair, that…[Read more]

Ah man, yeah, being sick is no fun. Hope you get better soon though! I’ll send a prayer your way

  • I’ll introduce my charries and try to write an RP soon, it’ll just have to be tomorrow probably

  • @jonas

I guess it would probably make the most sense to have all the powers be something similar, where the user redistributes a property of their body to other parts. That could be pretty cool, I guess. I could do this as sort of Feruchemy, but you just redistribute attributes across your body instead of storing them away (where you lose some of…

Yeah, that’s pretty much what I’ve been thinking. I’m definitely going to keep working on this one.

    Sounds good!

That is what I was trying to say too. I guess I was being too concise to properly get across what I was trying to say. The reason I don’t like that is because light and darkness are both real, while voidflames are not. I would p…

Really? Huh. I didn’t know that. I feel like I’ve been aware of those terms for a super long time, but I didn’t read any of his books until last summer.

Oh, yeah lol! It came from him!

    @a-r-kuhn @jonas

(KP just ate my post, so it may or may not randomly pop up in the following few days)

It’s too true! Unfortunately I end up nodding too much if I’m reading anytime past one. I can stay up for other things, but I can’t be sitting down. Sanderson is worth it though!

  • @rae

I officially label myself an idiot who can’t explain anything right!

    Ugh! I’ll reply once I cool off…

    Don’t label yourself an idiot:(

I look forward to your reply!

    @a-r-kuhn

Hmm, I’ve never really thought of it in these terms… Let’s put it this way: There’s rules, but I might be the only one who knows them right now. Really depends on the world. I have one world with a complicated system of magic, and a different world where there’s not really any true magic, just people with native abilities. In the magic…

I don’t really have answers to any of those questions XD. I liked the idea of having a weird sort of fire like that, but yeah, it’s not very interesting yet. The magic system as a whole is not to far developed, so maybe when I have more details I can differentiate the two flames. Otherwise, I probably will get rid of it.

    That’s fair! I thi…[Read more]

I’m not sure exactly what you’re saying but what I was trying to say is, if the Universe knew no god who had all the Omni’s, then we… Idk how to say this… Would know no greater thing, so that would be the ultimate god. If that makes sense.
