I can agree that I feel like it is sometimes best not to redeem characters. I will say that I do think Hans will be a very good villain (and I feel he will probably have a good arc).

@freedomwriter76
@thearcaneaxiomHere is another of my MCs in the first book.
Karci, owns a metalworking shop along with her husband Kien. She resents the Karpentan government for the economic problems facing the country (and herself). She believes that Karpenta needs to be returned to its former glory by ‘returning t…[Read more]

Oh cool. So since it is 1944 the allies have started winning. Does this play into the story (I assume it does but how is more my question)?

I also like Le Mis and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I am really hoping I will be able to see the new Sweeney Todd revival but I haven’t booked any tickets or anything of that matter.

We just finished our WWII unit in my AP Euro class and it made me think about you since you are writing a WWII WIP. When within the war is it set (more like start)?

Ok so here are a few of my narrators from the first book in The Kharvian Anthology (it doesn’t have a title yet but is set in the fictional country of Karpenta and is set before the Great War begins (this happens at the end of it)) I didn’t make boards (@freedomwriter76 I love your character boards) but I did gra…[Read more]

Welcome back!
I am otherworldly Historian. I enjoy history, tabletop gaming, reading, and working on my WIP. I see you mentioned one of your WIPs as a dark fantasy. Personally dark fantasy is my favourite genre. My main WIP is also a dark fantasy (though it may technically be a sci-fi at this point because their tech level is close…[Read more]

Ohh. This is such an interesting topic. You guys characters so far have been interesting. Mind if I add in? (this is rhetorical because I shall do so anyway.)
(I don’t have a ton of time right now so I will probably return to this tomorrow.)

(My comprehension of this topic is tiny so I don’t really understand what you are asking. Dimensionality is not really something I have studied. The food is clever though)

(The name means “God of War. It’s decreasing in popularity in Poland.)
(Very interesting)
(That would be neat, but yeah I can see the difficulty there. You could change the spelling to Marcheen or some other form that would work with the Latin pronunciation but would still sound the same.)
(That would be possible. I think it is pos…[Read more]

It’s pronounced Mar-cheen. Are you going to use it in your book? It’s a neat name!!
(There are multiple Polish game designers with that name. I was just interested in knowing how to pronounce it.) Is it popular? What does it mean? (Also I do like it and may eventually consider working some eastern european language stuff into the cul…[Read more]

This is because within nationalism there is negative and positive integration. Negative integration involves ostracising one group in order to unite another, defining what we are not in order to define what we are. (this can lead to some really bad stuff most notably the holocaust). Positive integration involves uniting a group of…

(Thanks again for your points, I’d love to continue this debate, but let’s make sure not to let it turn into an argument. This has turned from theology and philosophy to more of just politics though, something I don’t feel as edified by in discussion.) Are there other questions that you would like to explore instead?

(Sure. By my understanding of Masonry (which is limited), it isn’t Christian, but many Masons can be Christians. George Washington for example was a Mason, but also an Anglican Christian. Masonry is more of a philosophy than a religion, though it does have a unified belief in a creator. I would love to discuss this m…
