Fr. I don’t want characters to agree with me all the time, because then there would be nothing to think about.

Wait what? You mean you don’t use spell check for the other book and still manage to have something readable?!
I didn’t know other writers couldn’t spell until I joined KP. XD I’ve rarely needed spell check. But my handwriting is horrible, and people can’t read it, so the skills balance out.

I like it! Isaiah and Cedrick are more interesting together than apart. Isaiah’s “code” doesn’t bother me. I mean, it would bother me in real life. But it’s fun when a character has a specific part of their personality that takes action easily. In this case, it’s bitterness. Isaiah could easily become part of a political plot…[Read more]

I definitely got that difference, but having you explain it helped even more.
Is Jace younger than the others? You described him as a boy multiple times.
Guy… we didn’t really get much there, but I got the impression he is haunted by his past. Lol.

(mostly because Burne doesn’t have the restaurants we have)
I commend you for making up a restaurant. Mentioning real companies/brands in stories is a pet peeve of mine. XD

yours are so wacky lol
The idea was to be wacky, but I wish I could say my last one is an exaggeration. It’s the most accurate out of the three. 🙃
Meanwhile, crocodile man desperately trying to hide his minor self-esteem issues wages a private war with everything, but mostly his own emotions.
Life be like that sometimes.

I think the first chapter works pretty well! There was a bit of space in between Jonathan’s time in school and him talking to his brother that sort of felt like filler, but I’m not really sure what else you could put there so it might be fine for a first chapter to introduce the characters and the world.
One note: I was very…[Read more]

Wow, I really liked reading this! Are you planning to use the characters in a novel?
The POVs seemed pretty different, I think. Obviously, the longer we spend with the characters, the more we’ll get to know them and see their differences, but I got the impression that Zahn was the peacemaker, Kyler likes to tease and instigate things,…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle
Sounds good to me! Once I catch up with Linus’ work, I can help here, although I may stop at some point to make time for summer activities.
What kind of editing do you want? Super detailed? (Since you said this is several drafts in.) Just a quick read through? -
