Kathleen replied to the topic What do you look forward to most when you get to write? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years, 1 month ago
Oh, that makes total sense. I’ve had those very feeling myself when finally finish a project, but I’ve never known quite the words to describe it until I read your reply. It’s almost like a closing of a very personal and meaningful chapter of a life you’ve never lived. It’s really interesting, fulfilling and even a bit said all…[Read more]

@gracie-j Of course!
@joy-caroline Nice…I have no idea how I look from my sister’s perspective…
@issawriter7 XD Imagine that. But I do have many second cousins which I don’t see often. Since they’re in another hemisphere.
@nova21 (Lol my younger sister is also my alpha reader/professional roaster who tears everything I write apart XD) I…[Read more]

@nova21 Wow, that’s such a neat writing routine!! Now I want a fitness cube. 😀
Heh, I would love to have a better “routine,” but honestly, most of my writing happens during class. (Don’t tell my professors.) Last semester I would try to write after breakfast/reading my Bible, but that time has now been filled by other things.
Also, to add to…[Read more]

@nova21 Hey! Your routine sounds so nice! Mine’s pretty loose and flexible. I almost always end up writing in the evenings, partly because I have a talent for procrastinating and partly because it tends to be a lot easier for me to write then. I usually read the Bible before I write, and then sometimes I do something to get into the mood for…[Read more]

Aaaaah, this is SUCH a great idea, Ella!!!!!!!!!! Okay, here’s my routine
making it up, ’cause I don’t have a routine but I’ve been wanting to get one-wake up and read my Bible and read blogs/answer emails
-if I get up early enough, then this is some extra writing time
-if not, off to school
-spend most of my life in school…[Read more]

This sounds like an awesome idea! But I don’t really have a routine *insert sheepish grin* Usually, I just write bits and pieces that I think up during the day and try my best to write as much as I can at night:) I write poetry whenever it comes to mind and revise if it’s good.
I would like to get into a routine however, I think I’d get a…[Read more] -

@nova21 Ooh the fitness cube is a really good idea!
Here’s what I usually do (tho it changes sometimes):
I gather a full water bottle and any books or papers I need for my WIP. I use a pomodoro app on my phone for my timer (working 25 mins; break for 5 mins). And of course, I have music. I usually put on whatever music I feel like I need (i.e.…[Read more]

1. Write down daily goals in bullet journal.
2. School.
3. Try to get those page counts in (5-8 pages with music)
4. Lunch
5. More school. If I get distracted, work on some other projects.
And pretty much that’s it every day, haha.

Relatable XD I literally have two trunks full of my most valuable writing stuff, my computer and cat, so it’d definitely be some challenge.

Experience: somewhat experienced (3-4 times)

Brainstorming-ness: 8-9; brainstorming is one of my stronger suits

Word count: any novel below 1…[Read more]

Oh, neat! Jogging is super fun (but since it’s been so cold, I’ve had to do it on the treadmill, which totally isn’t as fun as outdoors lol) That’s some great advice, thank you! I may do that, so that I can move on to more action-y scenes! 🙂

Alexa Autorski replied to the topic WIP Chat! in the forum General Writing Discussions 5 years, 1 month ago
Oh, it’s totally fine!!! 🙂 The scene is a slow one (which sometimes are much harder than fast-paced ones), basically of my four central characters trying to devise a plan, which involves a lot of dialogue (which is also difficult). But hopefully I’ll be feeling more inspired later on 🙂
Yeah! I mainly like jogging as my go-to exercise…[Read more]

@nova21 I wrote ten pages in my WIP today (finished one chap then wrote another) and then wrote two quick flash fic things for a consistency challenge that I’ll be doing every day this month, one 400 words, another 900, and then I started another short story for a short story contest! So yeah, I think it’s been going pretty good…
