@not-so-secret-secret-assassin
My advice? If you have as much time as you say that could be spent writing and have no inspiration to do so then maybe don’t. It’s like trying to squeeze juice out of a dried lemon.
If you do however have inspiration and simply can’t type because you can’t keep your fingers from annihilating your keyboard I’d go…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin dude there’s literally so many ways to get around that. You could have a sibling/friend/parent take you. The gym could be in your neighborhood so you just drive a golf cart. It might be near enough to walk or ride a bike to.
Your mind games will not work on me. I’ve orchestrated my own for years.

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin Book one isn’t that good. Even Peterson himself has expressed displeasure for it. I wasn’t a fan until books three and four. Those were solid and the worldbuilding was complete enough that it’s where the story was fully in swing.

I understand if the series isn’t for you. We were actually very sceptical of it at first, especially of the fangs. I also see where the first book could be cliche or slow. He uses many plot points we are all too familiar with, and there are a few things that are a bit unrealistic. Then, why do I like them? Well,…[Read more]

You’re hilarious XD (100% better than a comedian) That’s devastating…Hmm, I guess everyone may or will have different advice for you here, but I’d say the best way to keeping writing and hold onto those protein shakes, is to club your keyboard.
I mean force stuff out of your keys on spare minutes and write fi…[Read more]

I understand how you feel about the first book in terms of its plot, but I have to say I always found it quite funny. The three introductions made me laugh out loud, just his whole whimsical writing style in general, and his deliberate use of redundancy. (Gnag the Nameless, the Dark Sea of Darkness, etc)
I also…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin *whispers* Based.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I read way more manga than I do watch anime, simply because I don’t have the time for it. And when I do have the time, I watch whatever I want on a whim. For example, finding the entirety of season one of Assassination Classroom was no mistake. I’m…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin While I do choose to forget a lot of things, one thing I will remember is that I haven’t read any books, much less middle-grade fiction, for years. And I don’t remember reading much fantasy, at all. And honestly books with dragons in them are pretty much all the same (where’s my Eastern Dragon representation, eh?)

Yes, Violet Evergarden is amazing! It goes quite deep into war trauma and what it would be like if the only thing you’d ever known was the military, and how to learn how to be a feeling, caring human again after only thinking you were a tool. It’s heartbreaking. Made me cry in several places. Has a great sou…[Read more]

My suggestion to help you out with this crisis, is to give up writing (and reading for that matter) entirely.
You simply can not be a complete Alpha Male (which I assume is your purpose in life) if you do anything even remotely related to arts and sciences (unless it’s Bro Science of course).
So free yourself from…[Read more]

(Mildly confused)
The most ‘working out’ I’ve ever done is HEMA and 5K training. (HEMA with my older brother, not anything professional or frequent.) I know practically nothing about gyms, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
If you are having trouble typing for any reason, dictate can be a life saver.

My friend, though I can not relate to the muscles bulge, and I have never experienced so much protein and cursed yellow-spice on a sandwich, but when I was thirteen years old, I beat my brother, who was nearly sixteen, in the best arm-wrestling competition of my life.

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin Oh wow, what a travesty. I wouldn’t say exactly my life fell apart, I merely moved on from my old life and started a new one. I died and moved on. But my writing life…my writing life became like the sandwich you described, yes.
@e-k-seaver I’m guessing 15, give or take.
