Hi and welcome!!!
First, some questions:
1) Do you have any pets?
2) What is your favorite animal?
3) What is your absolute favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Second, it is so nice to meet you!
Third, some things about me. My favorite genre both to read and to write is fantasy fiction but I enjoy almost any genre. I enjoy…[Read more]

The font I use usually depends on what I’m writing, but for my current WIP, I’m using MV Boli.

If the offer is still open, I’d love for you to make a book cover for me!
Title: The Gift Bearers.
MCs: a set of triplets (two boys and a girl) and their younger sister. All of them have hazel eyes and brown hair. All four siblings are somewhere between 11-14 years old.
Elements: jewels, swords, cloaks, forests, orphans, medieval…[Read more]

Morgan replied to the topic Using a Pen Name: Yay or Nay? in the forum Publishing & Platform 3 years, 4 months ago
It may surprise you to hear that my real name is not *ahem* *sigh* Morgan. Personally, I use a penname for privacy reasons. I may or not use a full penname when (if) I publish my book. I’ll see when the time comes, but I would not personally use initials just to hide my gender. If you do decide to use a penname, I like Alexa…[Read more]

Morgan replied to the topic What's your favorite type of villain? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 5 months ago
My favorite villain is either the villain who gets redeemed at the end or the one who is very clever. I like villains that I can sympathize with and ones that aren’t the typical “dumb” villain who gets beaten by the hero easily. Either type has to have a good reason to be a villain, however. I especially don’t like it when there is…[Read more]

I’d love for you to draw one of my book characters (if you want to of course)! You can either draw Wisdom or Serah. They are siblings. Wisdom is tall and on the skinny side. He is around 13 years old, has dark brown hair, and has hazel (a mix of green and brown) eyes. His skin is not tanned and he has very few freckles. Serah is around 12…[Read more]

@abigail-m Thanks! Better late than never they say. 😛 Yup! The Narnia soundtracks are amazing! I’m very much an amateur, but I do it for fun anyway, so it doesn’t matter. My favorite category is animals/nature (if that’s even a category). My chickens in particular are fun to photograph. My favorite setting is probably the…[Read more]

Morgan replied to the topic Encouragement needed in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 5 months ago
I know I’m late but…
1) Your writing is probably not as bad as you think it is. You’re your worst critic.
2) Don’t read other people’s amazing work. Read their (or your previous) failures instead. 😛
3) Remember why you’re writing. Whatever reason you’re writing for, keep that in mind.
4) It really helps me if I don’t focus on…[Read more]

Morgan replied to the topic Keep going or jump ahead? in the forum General Writing Discussions 3 years, 5 months ago
When I get stuck writing a scene I
1) Read or edit a previous section of my book until I get excited and feel like writing again.
2) Leave and do something else. My best ideas generally come to me when I am doing something totally unrelated to writing.
3) Just keep writing. The only problem with this is that if you are truly stuck,…[Read more]

Morgan replied to the topic Not sure if I should add an idea to my book in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 3 years, 5 months ago
@lydia-s Thanks for the advice and encouragement! The triplets and single child already get mistaken for each other a lot, but a real identical twin would definitely make it more fun! The more I come up with answers to my concerns, the more I realize that I should probably just do it and see what happens. Like some of you have said, the worst that…[Read more]

@seekjustice Thanks for the advice and reminding me that even if I did ruin it, I could always fix it later. 🙂

@devastate-lasting Thanks for the advice and encouragement! It would be pretty easy to fix the plot holes some other way, but I do like how my idea pulls seemingly unrelated things together.

@kathleenramm I think there are a few reasons I like Pride and Prejudice. Although I do not generally like romance novels, I enjoyed the complicated plot and the characters, especially the Bennett siblings and Mr. Darcy. Also, I committed a horrible crime and *gasp* watched the movie first. I had never watched a movie before a book before, and I w…[Read more]
