Oh, fun! I think an element of mystery in any story makes it better. 😉
1) I’m not familiar with the first author, but I can add a big “YES!” to the last two! L.M.A. wrote one of my all-time favorite romances actually, Rose in Bloom. Have you read that one? L.M. Montgomery is also high on my list of favorites, Anne of the Island being…[Read more]

@gracie-j Hahahaaaaa…. *sweats nervously* I feel called out XD
I’m the same way. I don’t draft. Usually, I end up hating a story once I’m through with it and can’t bear to come back and fix everything… That being said, I’m going to try and make myself draft my current wip because I’m afraid the plot will feel choppy otherwise lol. Or…[Read more]

Phew! I am reassured, thank you! I feel more confident about the other ones I’m planning to write lol
I will say that if that kind of proposal appeared in my work it means someone else was writing for me and I will be hunting them down XD
Thanks! yes, I need to work on emotions in scenes to be sure, thanks for the feedback!

okay so I am trying to figure out a really good way for my male MC to propose to the girl he loves… I wrote the proposal a while ago
*backstory;Â Faeda (main character) is an orphan living on an island under attack, and there is literally a war about to explode at any second, so she’s seeing the troop about to leave (she doesn’t…[Read more]

yes, she’s amazing with writing, truly gifted!
Yah, I wrote that part about a year ago, and I just went back and read it while listening to ‘The Eagles’ from the Return of the King soundtrack, and made myself cry… “why, Daphne? why did I kill youuuuu?” XD
haha no you make total sense! It sounds epic!!! betrayal of a family… oof its…[Read more]

Oh, that’s a good line… Kudos to your friend!
Ah, I see. Poor guy… Poor family… That sounds like a great scene though!
*jaw drops* WOW. That sounds awesome!!! XD Agghhhh, that’s such an intriguing story. In my book, it’s one of the MC’s father’s best friends (someone the MC looks up to) who betrays them, one of the MC’s sister’s…[Read more]

Hmm… Does she have to be a princess in order to be at the tournament? If so, perhaps her coronation got put on hold for some reason. Is there a required mourning period for the heir to the throne before they take the crown? Was there some trouble at the palace? Perhaps a jealous upstart or a plot to kill her required her to flee from…[Read more]

Hey, so glad you joined us! 😀
Oh, I hope you can write one someday! They’re so much fun… XD
Seriously, if I can create something like some of the IRL proposals I’ve heard, I will be so happy! So, my favorite proposal scene is pretty long, so I’m going to pare it down a bit. I’ll just skip to where things start moving along. ;)…[Read more]

(Wow, I’m honored to have been the first to do it!)
Yeah, it would be rather odd for a 16-year-old to propose, wouldn’t it? lol But I’m so happy that you’re nearing the first one you’ll write! They’re so much fun… XD
Yay, hello! Glad you popped over.
I have to admit I do love a good Mr. Darcy-type character. And though…[Read more]

Yeah, guys crying makes me emotional XDÂ I haven’t actually seen it in real life very often, but I didn’t think they were sissy for it.
Lol yessss a good scene with people crying adds sympathy to the hurting character, totally. Someone I know is writing an novel, and the MC’s best friend said, “Crying isn’t weak. Or at least… I hope…[Read more]

*sighs happily again* Oh my… Teary, emotional scenes with men in them? You have seriously just described one of my all-time favorite scenes to write. XD
As Elizabeth and JC said, I don’t think it weakens the manliness of a man to show him crying. I know I enjoy a good emotional scene involving guys… 😛 Anyway, I feel like that…[Read more]

She looks gorgeous! I go to a barn in the summer, and my equine bestie is a bay Thoroughbred. She’s super pretty and super sweet. 😉 Was your horse a Paint?
Ah, Tolkien, the master storyteller. He ranks high among my own personal favorites, partly because of how gifted he was. I haven’t heard of the other two authors you mentioned before…[Read more]

So I also read your chapters you posted, and I find the plot very intriguing!! It’s well made as far as the actual story, I found it exciting and curiosity invoking!
for improving the sentence structure, I would say to add more motion to the characters, wide eyes can be used for surprise or fear, and raised eyebrow for skepticism, gasp…[Read more]

what if she abdicates being queen? is she under 18? you could do where if they’re under 18 a lord protector can rule in the young monarch’s stead? This has happened in European countries with child monarchs…
idk if that is helpful or not…
