Moth
“Perhaps we have.”
There was always a little more land ahead to search, and Moth would search longer if he was the only one there. He would wander out of the grounds. But he was always too tempted to follow a trail after it faded. It was such a strange idea to think that he was tied to a boarding school now, of all thi…[Read more]

I might one of these days! I think I shall set a goal to finish at least half of my WIP before joining any RPs though, because I will totally get distracted and abandon my story XD

Sounds like it was a pretty fun rabbit trail to go down though.
Speaking of rabbit trails, I was going to tell you – I started reading about changelings in folklore, and it’s been argued that changelings were an explanation for special-needs kids. I think that idea is so interesting and sad.

Ah. Makes sense. She has some wisdom. XD
(I very much overthought this question)
That’s valid. I just spent 20 minutes researching the Pre-Raphealite art movement because I was wondering if it would be a better term than “medieval” for costume design. Result: it would not.

AHHH! Felicity! She is such a fun character. I like her chart.
And I have no other coherent thoughts at the moment. Ummmm…
Would she like sky-diving?

Moth
“There you have it, then.”
They walked on, following where the trail might have gone.
There weren’t any other signs of disturbance. After a while longer, it seemed like a wild goose chase. No matter. A wild goose chase was something to do, anyway. Moth admired the landscape as they went.

Moth could explain what a robot is, but he doesn’t know very well himself.
Moth
The faerie continued walking. “It came with Lois Thorne. A quiet metal man, it was. Perhaps he commanded it to go into these gardens. I do not know why.”

Moth
“Ghosts can walk, although they cannot leave footprints. It might be a Neighbor, taking hold of a physical vessel. But that is unlikely. It is most likely a machine.”
Moth stopped short. “Ah, I remember. I saw a machine yesterday night.”

Moth
Moth collected some of the cotton-like fluff from the reeds and made a palm-sized nest on the ground. He laid the bird there. Then he started walking, speeding up to a quick stride. “You coming, Stormwatcher?”

I’m scared to ask because I don’t want you to be right
I won’t say anything, then.
Moth
Ellis voice had grown a touch uncomfortable. His eyes, which had glowed icy blue a minute ago, were scanning the reeds.
He could be right. This was just how nature worked. But the bird might have been killed unnaturally.
Moth went back to stu…[Read more] -

Moth
“Why? Did you have a vision, just then? Was it…”
Moth stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the bird’s body. He picked it up and cradled it to his chest, brushing its head feathers with his fingers. The poor thing was still warm.

He was looking down at a new set of footprints in the snow. They were barefoot and small like a child’s.
I’m so invested. I have a theory
Can Moth sense other things like fairy vs human souls? I’m curious about his abilities now
Moth antennae are really cool in regular nature. They have a great sense of smell and they can track down…[Read more]

Moth
”I don’t know.” Moth shrugged. “I’m not very good at distinguishing between levels of being. This thing with feet might have a soul, but it has no organic body.”

AAAAAAHHHHHHH!
I love these two. They are chaos and quiet mornings and two kinds of bravery and a good cup of tea.

Moth
“That is a great gift, nevertheless. You are fortunate to have your own family line to guide you. A forecaster…” The Shaffers had once shown Moth a weather forecast. It seemed such a hard thing to predict when storms were born. The weather of wild human spirits must be even harder to predict.
Moth held…[Read more]
