I usually read my siblings what’s in my notebook, but I like bringing it to co-op, and I live in mortal dread of my archnemesis reading it. *shudders* Or one of the other annoying kids. Or…anyone who’s not a sibling, basically.

I have not found AI very useful in writing (except for asking very specific technical questions), but to be fair I’ve only used ChatGPT which is not the brightest. I don’t have much opinion on things like that. However, I do not like AI art. I used to play around with it a bit, but I don’t do that anymore. It honestly gives me t…[Read more]

I’ve been using AI to generate pictures of my characters, but I would never use it to write something in my WIP. The pictures are nice though. My brother has used it to generate pictures of ducks in fedoras.

So, I talked with my mom, and we are going to name the two grey ones Snips and Snails ( @loopylin ) and the tabby’s Candy ( @theducktator I actually wouldn’t have thought of this one for whatever reason, though it fits her so well! By the way, if we had a tuxedo kitten, I’d call it Sir Bowtie XD) and then there’s Poppy. @linus-smallprint Poppy…[Read more]

Enemies to lovers is my favorite romance trope! I don’t have a ton of experience, but here are my suggestions. The villain could save her life at the risk of his own. They could be having a normal conversation in which she says she likes something, and he remembers and gives it to her. They could both be nerds about the same obscure…[Read more]

Hi everyone!
So the reason I tagged you is simple, my cat had four little kittens last night, and I need four cute kitten names! You can suggest as many as…[Read more]-
I have so many ideas:D
1. Tux
2. If you name one Snips, you need to name another one Snails
3. Domino
4. Millie
5. Fish
6. If you name two of them Snips and Snails, you could name the other two Sugar and Spice-
Oh no. You are asking the Author who came up with a whole fantasy race that is known for being terrible at naming. He then put them in charge so that he would not have to put much thought into the names of many characters and locations. They are a lion-like species known as lyens that take a word related to ‘lion’ and change the…[Read more]

Aww, that’s awesome!
Here are a few names I came up with:

@rae
Warning, I like ridiculous and outlandish pet names.
Boy names: Alphonso, Frederick, Enrique, Sir Fluffyface, Richard, Bilbo, Frodo, Zephaniah, Heliodor, pretty much anything with Sir in front, Hubert, Wilfred, Petruchio, Mercutio, Benedict, Dietrich, Oswald the Destroyer, Garfield, Gandalf, Aragorn, Benvolio, Mercutio, Cinnabar,…[Read more] -
Hmm… you could name them all after birds (it would be ironic but kind of cute).
Other ideas are (kind of random):
Zephyr
Cinnamon
Stardust (could be Dusty for short)
Coffee
Sylph
Flick

Wait, SALMONELLA???? As in SALMONELLA POISINING?!?!?!?!?!?-

I can’t really help because I just store everything inside of my head and I haven’t reached the point where I needed an external tool.

Hey there!
I have a platform for writing called Reedsy, and you can organize everything about your characters! It’s completely free, just go to reedsy.com and you can make an account! It’s super nice because you can share as little or as much of your novel as you want with anybody through a link.
However, I normally just write…[Read more]

Last-paging is the malicious act of flipping to the final pages of a story and reading them before you have read the rest of the book. Those who have attempted it have been reported to lose sleep and video game skills. It also is a major cause of cancer in fruit bats. Don’t do it (although I cannot say I am innocent of the act…

Oh my goodness, I know a show with a protagonist named Cole who turns into a ghost… O.O Anyway you’re fine, I don’t assume magic in books to be demonic as in fiction it’s typically natural/neutral.

I usually keep two documents open on my computer: one is my actual novel project, and the other for saving things. Basically the same as Trailblazer.

Lol, I do the exact same thing. And one time my brother did read something, but thankfully he didn’t understand it.
As mentioned before, I keep notebooks to record any ideas for writing later, but I also have a fellow writer friend and we both help each other to remember what’s going on and organizing plots and…[Read more]

Nice to meet you! Yes, if the villain’s “redemption” ended up looking like just a strat to get the girl, I would be devastated with myself. Good reminder XD What series are you referring to?
Thanks for that! I especially like your idea of giving them common ground 😀

I have a notebook with lists of characters and roles, descriptions of each character, and random scenes and ideas that I started shortly after I mentioned that a character was rather useless and had a horrified sister remind me that he had a whole subplot. I have found it immensely useful. I’ve also heard Google Sheets is good,…[Read more]

I’m in no way an expert on this (most of my stories are honestly not very organized, despite the fact that I’m usually an organized person), but for a couple of my stories, I’ve started keeping a separate document just to list character bios and any other details I want to remember. I’ve found that’s helpful when I’m writing and…[Read more]
