Good news! Smokehouse Creek fire is 87% contained, Windy Deuce fire 92%, and Grape Vine Creek fire 96%!

Hey, y’all!
So, the Smokehouse Creek fire situation is better. It’s now 37% contained and there’s currently 290 personnel there, along with 58 engines and 10 bulldozers. Keep praying!

I’ve never done a Save The Cat outline. But I frequently use this website called Helping Writers Become Authors. K. M. Weiland, the writer on the website, has a TON of stuff on outlining scenes, plots, and character arcs. Maybe you can find something on there.
I’d give you the link, but KP tends to eat my posts whenever I put a link in it. But the site should be pretty easy to find.

@highscribeofaetherium @freed_and_redeemedNot much to report today. It’s day 8 of the fire. Windy Deuce fire has gone to 55% contained. It looks like they’re starting to gain more supplies for the Smokehouse Creek fire and they hope to make a bunch of progress today.

Yeah, it’s all pretty crazy.
So, it looks like the main fire is still 15% contained. They had a few flare-ups over the weekend, but the firefighters were able to take care of it. They’re now using helicopters, super scoopers, and air tanks to dump retardant and water on the fire.
Also, I forgot about this part of the story. There’s actually three fires going on in the same area. Originally there were four, but two merged and that’s the fire that took out over a million acres. That’s the Smokehouse Creek Fire, which I talked about above. There’s two others, Windy Deuce fire and Grape Vine Creek fire. Both of these are 60% contained.
Keep praying, y’all! I know I’m posting everyday and y’all are probably tired of hearing from me, but I feel bad for those affected by this and it’s something that’s on my heart.

@highscribeofaetherium @freed_and_redeemed @esther-cUpdate on fire: it’s not 15% percent contained, but firefighters are concerned that the weather this weekend might work against them. So far two people have been killed by the fire and about 500 structures have been destroyed. Also, two firemen were injured, but it looks like they’ll recover.
I guess pray for the firemen and that weather won’t perpetuate the fire anymore.

Just a small update that I heard this morning. The fire’s now considered the largest in history. I’m not sure if they’re talking about Texas history or U.S. history, but still, yikes!

This isn’t a personal prayer request. I’m just aware of this and I feel like the people involved need a lot of prayer.
So, not sure if anyone knows, but there’s a HUGE wildfire in the Texas Panhandle that has burnt over one million square acres (that’s over 1,500 square miles). The fires only 3% contained and has destroyed 150 homes. People have lost a ton of livestock, since there’s ranches up there, but miraculously there’s only one reported death.
As far as I know, national news isn’t really reporting on this much, but I think a news station in Amarillo is covering it, if y’all want to find out more.
Just want to reiterate: I’m not anywhere near this and nobody I know is affected by this. I’m just aware of the situation and feel like the people really need prayer.

Thank you! I use SnapPages. You do have to pay, but you’re not just paying to use the site. You also get security, templates, and whatnot. Plus, it’s very user friendly, so you don’t have to code or anything to get what you want. I can manage the site on my own and change pretty much whatever I want whenever I want. I get my images from Unsplash for free and they’re pretty good as well.

Ooo! Another romance writer!!! Delighted to meet you. What kind of romance do you write? Historical? Contemporary? So excited there’s another romance writer, I feel like I’m the only one around here.

Since the conventional methods aren’t working, I’m going to try something crazy and hope it works. I’ll insert the URL in the post with spaces between the words and whatnot. Just copy and paste into your browser and delete all spaces. Weird, I know, but I’m desperate.
