Aw, I like little robot companions! They’re always so cute.
Alpha
Alpha stared at her, out of a mixture of wonder (for he had never seen in his life hair as long as this girl’s) and confusion (for he didn’t know what premeditating meant.) He mumbled something in Realn to himself, trying to figure out if ‘premeditating’ meant the…[Read more]

Leo
The light in his eyes was vaguely familiar in all the wrong ways. Leo squinted, wrinkling his nose into a grimace. “That’s what the paperwork said.”
The light shifted to his handiwork, leaving Leo to blink away the two suns imprinted on his retina.
“The leak’s stopped.” He said, adding a for now under his breath. A small bulge…[Read more]

Whatever it takes by Imagine Dragons
That and Believer perfectly fit Alpha.
Apparently it didn’t post, but I like your charrie! She sounds great!
If you don’t like this introduction, let me know. It’s what I could think of to make Alpha notice her.

Sure, go right ahead! Leo’s never seen an alien before, so that could get interesting (he’ll probably just think he’s seeing things at first).

Yes, and after all the entries are posted, we elect 1-3 judges who aren’t doing a story, and they decide upon a winner.

I think, content wise, they are young adult, even if you could appeal to an older audience as well.

Yes! I’ve watched the one with Gerard Butler in it. I remember it being good, but it’s been a while, so I can’t think of any specific things I liked or didn’t like about it.

Hi! I want to bring this topic back to life.
As far as the last prompt, if you wrote or would like to write anything, please submit it here by June 8th. On June 8th I think we shall pick judges.
If you have nothing, or you aren’t interested in our last prompt, I have a new one:

I would put it in YA if it was my book as well. I haven’t seen nor has there ever been anything suggested, that I think would make it inappropriate for that age level.

@esther-c Thank you very much for your opinion!

And it’s just so gross that people put such horrible things in that section, because YA typically are teenagers or young adults, and people are the most…[Read more]

I think YA totally works. YA includes more than you might think. In our library, I find stuff in the juvenile section that should be in YA, and stuff in the YA section that I’m little shocked to see, but it def wouldn’t be considered adult fiction.
So yeah, in short, I think your books would be young adult fiction.
