So I really want to keep reading your story, and I need to double check—are the chapters you’re sharing on here in the Reedsy link you shared with me? Or is the link an older draft?

He does pretty well in the beginning, but then Vorgan uses Nahim’s greatest fear to break him. It’s the darkest hour in my book, and I haven’t written it fully yet.
Ooooo, love it!!! YES YES YES!! You have to post that scene as soon as you write it!!

Wait really??!!!! I want to read that!!! I love capture scenes. Especial if the badguys are really mean and the hero still doesn’t lose his head. all though, from what I’ve seen of Nahim………

Decided I was going to take a break from KP yesterday, because the plot of my WIP needed fixing and stuff but I think I fixed it so, I’ll be around until next time I get upset about how awful my writing is.

Next chapter, Vorgan captures Nahim, and takes Nahim’s weapons.

As for the fight scene thing, it really does end in a few seconds. A fight that g…[Read more]

I figured out my problem, so I’m going to be still here. I know I was only gone 15 hours but I needed the mindset I guess to actually get stuff done.
-
WHAT YOU WERE GOING TO LEAVE?!?! huh girl whattttt?
-
Temporarily, not like forever. I just had a bit of a realization that my WIP makes no sense, and I got really stressed out. So, I was going to take a break for like a month or so, but then I got over it. It was nothing
-
Ohhh haha
It’s okay cuz my WIP doesn’t make any sense either…I’ve been there and I know how stressful that is XD XD-
DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN

@anyone else who’s read Nahim is bad at guns
I take it back!
So, I was doing some research stuff this afternoon, ya know, adding more suspicious stuff to my search history, and finally looked up how to correctly write a sword fight, cuz I’ve been avoiding those since I’m really bad at fight scenes. During my quest for…[Read more] -

@ellette-giselle @savannah_grace2009
Writing sprints are really fun! So are crawls… which is something similar, but it’s longer and more involved. I’ve been doing some of those over at the King’s Daughters’ Writing Camp. (Which y’all should check out! It’s awesome!!)

Lukas
“Woah,” he breathed, watching Liv’s complete control over the water. “Cool.” He half-smiled.
I’m kinda stuck now, lol. We can keep their conversation going or end it here if you want. Or maybe we can have them meet up with some other peeps.

One, Mandin said it would take Nahim several minutes to defeat an opponent with a sword. Exchanges with swords actually usually last for a handful of seconds.
I know that, you know that, Nahim knows that, but Mandin? Sure, he probably does, but he’s trying to make a point. He’s been attempting to get Nahim into guns for a…[Read more]

Just wanted to pop in and say I love how this is going! Cassian is a much better character imo now that I’ve seen him with Sef.
I know it’s super hard not to doubt yourself and your writing…. I think it’s just a writer thing. And it’s hard when it seems so easy for other people. But it doesn’t have to be perfect right now.…[Read more]

Lukas
“I miss my pani…” Liv said. Her hands slowly filled with water. Lukas blinked a few times, opening and closing his mouth.
“Wai— wha? How did you do that?” He pointed to her hands, his eyes wide.

You’re writing’s NOT awful! I’ve always admired you and your style and passion for it!
And don’t put pressure on yourself to be perfect.
Also remember your identity is in Christ, and He gives you the gift of writing! When I get stuck, I pray about it, and then the words and plot just come to me.
But girl I know how rough it is…you get…[Read more]
