So fun to work with!
I know! Sabina is gonna get herself killed.
But, she’s like that. I mean, remember how spunky she was when she was being a total snark to Aaron and Turin. She hasn’t lost all of that.
still, it scares me when she does stuff like that!

Ellette Giselle replied to the topic How Many MCs/POV Characters Is Too Many? in the forum Characters 1 year, 9 months ago
I try to never have more then 1 MC for a given setting.
So, my last book only had one, but his brother and wife were very heavily leaning toward MC state, and Cora even got her own POV at one point. However, Ethan was the one the book followed the closest.
The one I’m writing currently has three MC in three different locations,…[Read more]

Oh no… PLEASE don’t tell me you are going to be an annoying couple were you just do PDA on KP?????
(please no.)
No, KP isn’t the place for that kind of stuff.
I was a little out of line when I made my statement, I apologize.
I’ll refrain from those type of statements, but I’m not changing my forum signature.

Brutus froze in his tracks as Flare used his true name. “Wh-what did you just c-call me?” Brutus went as blank as a sheet, almost as if he was going to pass out.
I have no preference of where exactly Jenna goes

EeEeeeEeeeee!!!!!!
I think I love this book already.
One thing I noticed…if these are Slavic names in Slavic culture, they aren’t quite right. Dmitry Volkova is feminine; Dmitry Volkov is masculine. Even as a surname, I believe the name gender changes, although I’m not sure if Sofiya’s name changes…but I think so. Also,…[Read more]

Oooh, history? I love history, but unfortunately for you, most of my research has been 1700’s/1800’s. I can see if I have any articles or websites bookmarked that might have information for you, though.

Brin glared at his brothers, Volks tall and strong who should have known better.
“Dah dah, I know. But as I don’t intend to die and be thrown to the sea, it won’t matter, nyet?”

the 20s really marked the beginning of people turning away from traditional values, something the USA tried to go back to in the 50s before all fell apart in the 60s…and we’ve just gone downhill from there🤷🏻♀️
Better in some ways, a whole lot worse in others.

Hiiii 👋🏻 So, I will first say that a lot of my research has been sporadic or else focused on a single specific topic, so I honestly don’t remember a lot of sources I used for a lot of research by this point XD
And most of my research is focused on WW2😅
But each of the decades were really marked by specific things:
The 1910s was…[Read more]

hybridlore replied to the topic How Many MCs/POV Characters Is Too Many? in the forum Characters 1 year, 9 months ago
It really depends. Does each MC have their own POV? How long is the series, and what genre is it? Typically a long, multi-book series will have plenty of characters, while a standalone may only have room for a few. (However, Gordon Korman is a big exception to this rule. He writes mostly standalone contemporary MG fiction, but he…[Read more]

Well, yes. I’m an intense history/culture nerd. My typical interests cover clothing/daily life/religion. I don’t remember any good references off the top of my head right now. However, I’m always up for a challenge! I need to be looking into the 1900s anyway for a project today, sooo…

Hm. That is really interesting to think about. I, for one, am glad there are so many viking burials. Especially the ones with ships.
