Also, I think the dragons come into play more during the second book, and then they come in even more in the third and fourth.

And actually, yes. There is a dark past to Podo Helmer for the Wingfeather kids to uncover–but it doesn’t come into play until the second book. You have to keep reading, even if it was the most boring thing you’ve ever read. Finish it, and THEN you can say “This is trash!” or “Hey, I kinda like this” or “I love it.”

And there is one other thing. It was a Christian series, with good dragons. I love the idea of dragons, but since the dragon is almost always the antagonist in European folktales (and is associated with evil in other places–just look at Revelation) I thought Christian writers didn’t like using dragons as good characters or protagonists. I LOVE THIS BOOK!! I read all of them. And yes, Janner’s death was sad, but Andrew Peterson is not going to continue. He says its because he wants people to wonder what happened next so his story will continue and be remembered. (Maybe he likes fanfiction?)

@elishavet-pidyon Actually, I didn’t come up with the name by myself. I asked on another site what a good name for them would be for them, and someone suggested using words from Latin or Greek, so I searched up Latin words for cat (there are a bunch) and found one I liked.

@lydia-s That sounds awesome! Great job taking the disciples’ backgrounds and turning them into interesting characters! I like their backstories–they sound realistic for what we can discern from the Bible and stuff.
