Elanor started the topic Beta's for my poetry Collection wanted! in the forum Poetry 2 years, 2 months ago
I have finally decided I want to publish my collection of roughly 50 poems (I say roughly because several are still works in progress). If you are interested, please let me know 🙂 I don’t know who here enjoys poetry, but I’ll tag a few people @power (I know that YOU enjoy poetry from our poetry game a few months back 😉) @rochellaine @libby @kathle…[Read more]

All I did was press the search button without typing anything into the search box, and up it popped! (No hacking. . . this time 😋)
Yay!!!

I found how to get to KP merchandise! The catch is that I went in a roundabout way and can’t actually find the official button for the merch. Maybe I’m just missing it. . . or maybe not.
If I just missed it, could you please tell me where it is? (Apparently, I’m blind.)
If I didn’t miss it. . . 😬

I’m a bit late to the party, but if I buy merch its always a hoodie, mug or notebook! Love the minimalist look, with maybe a sketch and a quote, or something like that.
I won’t be able to buy any merch, because shipping to over here is wildly expensive, so I’m sad about that. Good luck with it though!

Oooo, KP merch? Yes, please!
I usually gravitate towards t-shirts and hoodies when I’m looking at merch, but travel mugs/water bottles and stickers are fun, too. 🙂 As for monotone vs. colorful, I like both, and I also like text and graphic designs (my favorite designs are those that have both). I’m neutral when it comes to animal…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Oh goodness! Merch sounds awesome! Some t-shirts and hoodies with graphics and texts would be so cool. I usually like monotone with such things but color might be cool too.
I personally don’t care for animal print.
As for old merch… I haven’t been here that long…

@kathleenramm PLEASE I’ve been waiting for you guys to bring back your merch 😭 I was gonna buy some but then they were gonee
I think the old ones are good but also I would like to see new ones in there too! I personally like monotone designs, so basically black sweatshirts. If you have pretty pictures with small quotes or something like this one…[Read more]

Thank you!
Haha, glad I’m not the only one.
Richard Paul Evan’s Michael Vey series has always been a top favorite of mine. Lately I have really been into Tricia Goyer and her WWII novels. I’m kind of a nerd when it comes to WWII. In my English classes I took through Regent University, both major essays were WWII based if that…[Read more]

Starden03 replied to the topic What Makes An Allegory Impactful? in the forum Mission, Calling & Ethics 2 years, 5 months ago
@kathleenramm I definitely agree that a subtle/covert allegory is far more powerful than an overt one, simply for the reason that in reading an allegory that is more difficult to discover (in the older sense of the word), the reader is forced to think through it far more deeply than an obvious, surface-level allegory. (There is also a unique…[Read more]

I DID IT!! I FINALLY MADE IT!!
*regrets immediately*
JK. Anyway, I had this idea a while back to make this post where we could come here and talk about our WIPs and MAJOR SPOILERS AND PLOT TWISTS THAT WE ARE SOO EXCITED ABOUT AND HATE HAVING TO KEEP SECRET FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY WITHOUT HAVING TO DISCLAIMER IN THE POST!!
Thus this forum was…[Read more]

Probably my characters!! Because I’m writing a series, my brain really wants to skip and go to the next books 🤣
But I’m very character driven, and these characters have stolen my heart. In this WIP tho only 3 are introduced (and only 2 are really in the forefront)
One of them has a lot of struggles that I think people can rel…[Read more]

I LOVE world building, and my characters are very dear to me. I can spend hours on the first, and the second have been introduced to my friends and family as acqaintances of highest regard.
However, what I like best about both of them, is how they contain bits and pieces of real stories. Even my WIP that would not at all be…[Read more]

Linyang Zhang replied to the topic What do you love most about your current WIP? in the forum Topic of the Week 2 years, 5 months ago
@kathleenramm Mm I think because when I was thinking up the project I was mainly focusing on the MC and his character arc, and decided only to make other characters that would be essential to the plot that the MC should meet. This way I don’t need to deal with extra underdeveloped characters that drag on to the plot and themes. Also the themes and…[Read more]

Yeah, I figured something like that had happened. That’s totally okay! Hopefully someone will volunteer or something for critiques someday. Until then this should work. Thanks!

@kathleenramm Honestly I really like how well everything’s tying together for it (plot, themes, character, worldbuilding, backstory, etc etc). Probably my most structured novel yet? I’m enjoying the single POV and small cast of characters, a nice change of pace from my usual big casts, as well as structuring internal and external conflict to all…[Read more]

For my current WIP it would either be the themes or characters, as they are heavily intertwined. It’s the first project I was able to pin down a point of focus before starting the book.
(I don’t pants, however I’m not sure if what I do counts as plotting. I have nearly the entire storyline in my head, but only a few scenes figured,…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Complex. The more complex the possible. I don’t want to know what’s gonna happen. At least when reading.
Writing…hhh I want to get good at complex storylines.

Hello, my friends! It’s been a minute since I was last on here. I’ve missed you all!
I have a question for any of you who have tried writing platforms similar to Wattpad, for context. I recently finished co-writing a book with my sister and we’re not sure what we want to do with it yet, so we’ve decided to try uploading it to a writing site over…[Read more]

I’d either choose The Mysterious Benedict Society (cause both its major plot twists were spoiled for me before I read it😢) or the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. Because. The. End. Of. The. Second. Book. Was. So. GOOD.
Honestly, reading that for the first time was epic.
It’s funny. The books I go into with low exp…[Read more]
